Top Vladimir Tarasenko News

  • Panthers' Vladimir Tarasenko: Three points in Monday's loss

Tarasenko picked up a goal and two assists in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Tarasenko was involved in all three of Florida's third-period goals, deflecting a Niko Mikkola shot past Ilya Samsonov to cut the deficit to 5-2 before adding a pair of assists later in the frame. The 32-year-old Tarasenko has three goals and six points in his last five games after going scoreless in his previous five contests. He's up to 22 goals and 50 points across 69 games between Florida and Ottawa this season.

  • Panthers' Vladimir Tarasenko: First three points in new uniform

Tarasenko scored twice and added an assist in a 5-1 win over Calgary on Saturday.

Tarasenko got his first points with the Panthers during his second outing with the team. He put Florida up 1-0 just 23 seconds into the second period when he intercepted a clearing pass from Jonathan Huberdeau deep in the Flames' zone and fired it past Jacob Markstrom. His second tally of the contest went through Markstrom later in the same frame. The 32-year-old Tarasenko has been playing on a line with Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart, which will help him with his two-way play. There's no downside to putting Tarasenko into your lineup. He is out to prove he can be a player of consequence again, and so far, so good.

  • Panthers' Vladimir Tarasenko: Headed to Sunshine State

The Panthers acquired Tarasenko from the Senators on Wednesday in exchange for a 2024 conditional fourth-round pick and a 2025 third-round pick, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reports.

Tarasenko may not be the 30-goal scorer he was during his prime years in St. Louis, but he should still slot into a top-six role with the Panthers, possibly relegating Nick Cousins to the third line. In addition, the 32-year-old Tarasenko should get some power-play minutes as well, considering he has registered eight of his 41 points this season with the man advantage.

  • Senators' Vladimir Tarasenko: Two points against Coyotes

Tarasenko scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Friday's 5-3 loss to Arizona.

The 32-year-old winger got Ottawa on the board late in the first period with a one-timer from a sharp angle, then set up Shane Pinto for a second-period tally. It was Tarasenko's first multi-point effort since Jan. 13, but he's been a steady contributor of late -- in 11 games since the All-Star break, he's collected three goals and seven points.

  • Senators' Vladimir Tarasenko: Buries goal in win

Tarasenko scored a goal on five shots in Monday's 4-2 win over the Lightning.

Tarasenko briefly restored a three-goal lead for the Senators, though Brayden Point responded 35 seconds later. The goal was Tarasenko's fifth point in the last six games. The 32-year-old was on the top line Monday amid a lineup shuffle that saw him swap places with Drake Batherson. For the season, Tarasenko has 15 goals, 37 points, 100 shots on net, 45 hits and a plus-14 rating through 50 appearances. He's mainly been limited to middle-six usage, though that's not necessarily a bad thing in a forward group as deep as Ottawa's.

  • Senators' Vladimir Tarasenko: Two points including GWG

Tarasenko scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Saturday's 5-4 victory over the Sharks.

With just five seconds left in the third period, Tarasenko fought off a check and kept his feet in front of the net, and he got rewarded when a rebound bounced right to him, allowing him to bang home the winner. The veteran winger has a modest three-game point streak going and has three multi-point efforts in the last nine, producing four goals and eight points over that stretch.

  • Senators' Vladimir Tarasenko: Provides assist

Tarasenko logged an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Flames.

Tarasenko has earned two goals and four assists over his last 10 games. With Mathieu Joseph returning from a lower-body injury, Tarasenko was bumped down to the third line, which could have a negative impact on his production if that move sticks. Tarasenko is at 25 points, 68 shots on net, 31 hits and a plus-9 rating through while averaging 16:12 of ice time per game.

Tarasenko scored two goals on three shots in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Canucks.

Tarasenko tried to create a third-period comeback, but his second goal was quickly answered by Vancouver to end the push. This was Tarasenko's second multi-goal game of the campaign, both of which have come since the start of December. The winger is up to eight tallies, 24 points, 62 shots on net, 28 hits and a plus-9 rating through 31 appearances in a top-six role.

  • Senators' Vladimir Tarasenko: Three points in last three games

Tarasenko had two assists Wednesday in a 4-2 victory over Toronto.

He was flying, and he threw around his weight and absolutely flattened Maple Leafs defender Simon Benoit with a check that sent the rookie sprawling. Tarasenko has been a mild disappointment in Ottawa -- there are games he completely disappears. But he still has 22 points, including 16 assists, in 28 games, including three assists in his last three games. Tarasenko is on a one-year, $5 million deal in Ottawa, so expect him to be on the move if the Senators don't go on a run. Tarasenko's fantasy value would improve in a more-competitive city, especially if it's out of the intense light of a Canadian market.

With six points (three goals, three assists) in his last four games, Tarasenko is a strong fantasy contributor right now.
