MacKinnon scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist, went plus-2 and blocked four shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Kraken in Game 5. MacKinnon picked up his second multi-point effort in five playoff games, but the Avalanche never held a lead Wednesday. The 27-year-old center has three goals, three assists, 24 shots on net, eight blocked shots and a plus-6 rating this postseason. The top-end players have often done well for the Avalanche, but the Kraken have a 3-2 series lead thanks to stronger depth scoring. Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Deals helper in overtime loss
MacKinnon notched an assist in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Kraken in Game 4. MacKinnon set up the first of Mikko Rantanen's two goals in the contest. The 27-year-old MacKinnon has two goals and two assists through four playoff outings. He was held without a shot Monday, but he has 20 shots, seven hits and a plus-4 rating in the postseason, and it's unlikely the Kraken will be able to keep him that quiet back in Denver on Wednesday.... MacKinnon scored two goals on five shots, went plus-2, added two PIM and blocked two shots in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Kraken in Game 3. MacKinnon put the Avalanche ahead 2-1 at 19:15 of the first period, and his tally in the third stood as the game-winner. The 27-year-old has two goals and an assist through three playoff contests, but Saturday was an example of what happens when MacKinnon finds a level most players can't attain. MacKinnon logged an assist, seven shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Kraken in Game 1. MacKinnon put up 10 goals and six assists over eight regular-season games in April, though all of those points came in five multi-point efforts. Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Ends season with hat trick
MacKinnon had a hat trick and an assist in Colorado's 4-3 victory over Nashville on Friday. MacKinnon earned his sixth career hat trick. This was also the fourth time he's recorded at least three points in the span of seven games, so it's fair to say he's red hot going into the playoffs. His heroics in Colorado's regular-season finale pushed him up to 42 goals this campaign, surpassing the career high of 41 he set in 2018-19. Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Has another superb showing
MacKinnon supplied two goals and an assist in Colorado's 5-4 overtime win over Anaheim on Sunday. MacKinnon has recorded six multi-point games over his last nine outings, providing an incredible nine goals and 17 points in that span. Through 68 contests this season, he's recorded 39 goals and 107 points. MacKinnon has already surpassed his previous career high of 99 points, and he's just two goals away from his personal best in that category.
