  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Deals two power-play assists

Gaudreau notched two power-play assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Coyotes. The Blue Jackets have just one win in their last nine outings, but Gaudreau has been good with a goal and eight assists in that span. He helped out on tallies by Boone Jenner and Zach Werenski in this contest. Gaudreau's shooting luck remains poor -- he's stuck on 11 goals with 43 assists, 138 shots on net and a minus-25 rating through 72 appearances.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Registers helper

Gaudreau posted an assist in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Avalanche. Gaudreau has turned up the offense recently with a goal and six helpers over his last five games. The winger is up to 52 points, 136 shots on net and a minus-23 rating through 70 appearances. He's likely to fall short of the 74 points he posted over 80 games a year ago, but he could help patient fantasy managers with his surge late in the campaign.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Three points in win

Gaudreau tallied a goal and two assists in Saturday's 4-2 victory over San Jose. Gaudreau set up Boone Jenner's opening tally late in the first period before extending Columbus' lead to 3-1 in the second, sliding a rebound past Magnus Chrona. Gaudreau would add a third point, matching his season-high, with a second assist on Alexander Nylander's empty-netter. The 30-year-old Gaudreau has averaged a point per game over the last two months, totaling four goals and 21 assists in his past 25 contests. He's up to 50 points (11 goals, 39 assists) through 67 games this season.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Two helpers Thursday

Gaudreau picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Thursday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Senators. The 30-year-old winger set up Boone Jenner for the game's opening goal just 15 seconds into the first period, and Gaudreau got credit for a power-play helper in the third when his cross-ice pass attempt hit a skate in the slot and fell right to Alexander Nylander, who whacked it home. It's Gaudreau's first multi-point performance since Feb. 25, but he's been in fine form since the All-Star break, racking up three goals and 15 points over the last 16 games.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Deposits empty-netter

Gaudreau scored an empty-net goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks. Gaudreau snapped a four-game goal drought with the tally. The 30-year-old has struggled to fill the net regularly -- he has just two goals in 2024 and nine markers on the season, but he's been a solid top-line playmaker. The winger has 43 points, 117 shots on net and a minus-20 rating through 60 appearances.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Pair of apples in win

Gaudreau assisted on two goals during Sunday's 4-2 win over the Rangers. The diminutive winger still hasn't matched the huge offensive numbers he posted in Calgary during his two-season tenure with Columbus. A career-low 7.0 shooting percentage in 2023-24 hasn't helped, but it's possible that positive regression will come for Gaudreau before the season ends. He has made up for the lack of finishing touch with playmaking skills recently, racking up one goal and 13 points over his last 10 games.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Goal, two assists in win

Gaudreau tallied a goal and two assists in Wednesday's 7-4 win over Anaheim. Gaudreau set up Zach Werenski's opening tally in the first period before beating John Gibson on the rush to extend Columbus' lead to 2-0 later in the frame. Gaudreau would add a second assist on Yegor Chinakhov's marker in the third. While the goal was Gaudreau's first in 17 games, he now has 15 points (a goal and 14 assists) over his last 13 contests. The 30-year-old winger is up to eight goals and 40 points through 55 games this season.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Two helpers in Saturday's win

Gaudreau notched a pair of assists and four shots on goal in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Sharks. Gaudreau ended up with a decent stat line, but it could have been so much better. He had three breakaways in the first period alone, and he failed to register a shot on goal on any of them. The winger has eight helpers over his last six contests, and he's earned 12 assists over 16 games since his last goal Dec. 29 versus the Maple Leafs. Overall, Gaudreau has 37 points, 107 shots on net and a minus-20 rating through 53 appearances.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Contributes helper Sunday

Gaudreau recorded an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Kraken. Gaudreau's goal drought is up to 12 games, but he's produced a serviceable six assists in that span. The winger helped out on the first of Yegor Chinakhov's two goals in the third period Sunday. For the season, Gaudreau has 31 points (12 on the power play) with 96 shots on net and a minus-21 rating over 49 appearances. He can be useful in formats that focus on scoring, but his production beyond that is lacking.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Adds power-play assist

Gaudreau notched a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Canucks. Gaudreau set up a Kirill Marchenko tally in the second period. With five assists and no goals over his last 11 contests, Gaudreau is not living up to expectations in a top-line role. The winger has 30 points, 93 shots on net and a minus-22 rating through 48 appearances. That puts him on pace to fall short of the 74-point campaign he had in 2022-23, which was considered a disappointment.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Picks up two helpers in home win

Gaudreau finished with two assists in Monday's 4-3 shootout win against the Canucks. Gaudreau added a plus-1 rating and three shots on goal in 22:28 of ice time across 26 shifts. After opening the month of January with no points and a dismal minus-5 rating, Johnny Hockey has contributed with three helpers in the past two games.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Three points including OT winner

Gaudreau scored the overtime winner and added two assists, one on the power play, in Friday's 6-5 victory over the Maple Leafs. The Blue Jackets' $68-million man is finally looking like a player worth his gaudy AAV. Gaudreau's game-winner was a slick piece of work, as instead of trying to deflect home a Damon Severson shot from the point, he caught Ilya Samsonov going the wrong way by tapping the puck to his backhand and calmly slotting it into the net. Gaudreau has two three-point performances in the last seven games, a stretch in which the 30-year-old has broken out for three goals and 10 points. It probably isn't a coincidence that the veteran's revival has come while he's skating on a line with dynamic rookie Adam Fantilli.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Three points in Tuesday's rout

Gaudreau produced a goal and two assists, with one helper coming on the power play, in Tuesday's 9-4 win over the Sabres. All three points came in the first period as Columbus erased an early 1-0 lead for Buffalo. Gaudreau appears to be finding his form after a brutal start to the season -- the 30-year-old has two goals and five points over the last three games, and over the last 14 contests he's collected four goals and 13 points.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Two-point effort in loss

Gaudreau scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Kings. He had a hand in a Kirill Marchenko tally in the first period before scoring his own goal in the second -- Gaudreau found a loose puck in the neutral zone as the Kings pressed the attack, giving him a breakaway that he converted by going top shelf over Pheonix Copley's glove. That's now three multi-point performances in the last six games for Gaudreau, and he seems to have shaken off his early season malaise with three goals and nine points in the last 10 games.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Collects pair of power-play helpers

Gaudreau notched two power-play assists and two shots on goal in Friday's 4-2 win over the Senators. Gaudreau helped out on goals by Patrik Laine and Boone Jenner. Two of Gaudreau's three multi-point efforts this season have come over the last four games, though he's gone scoreless over the other two contests in that span. The winger is up to three tallies, 10 assists, 56 shots on net and a minus-3 rating through 25 outings overall. Friday's effort also doubled his power-play points to four on the year, all of which have been assists.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: One of each in loss

Gaudreau scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Hurricanes. Gaudreau set up Kirill Marchenko's goal early in the third period and then scored one of his own on a knuckling shot. The Blue Jackets couldn't make that 2-0 lead stand, giving up three goals over the final 10 minutes to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Gaudreau continues to play better with two goals and three assists over his last five games, but he's at a shaky 11 points, 50 shots on net and a minus-1 rating through 22 contests overall. Just two of his points have come with the man advantage.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Ends goal drought

Gaudreau scored a goal on four shots in the Blue Jackets' 4-3 loss to the Capitals on Saturday. Gaudreau opened the scoring Saturday, blasting a slap shot past Charlie Lindgren in the slot. This was his first goal in eight games, and the American forward has just three points in nine games in November. Gaudreau had 74 points last season and continues to skate in a top-six role while playing on the top power-play unit, so perhaps this goal will be the spark that gets the former Flame back on track.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Finally lights lamp

Gaudreau scored an empty-net goal in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Lightning. It wasn't the most skillful tally, but Gaudreau finally ended the longest season-opening goal drought of his career, as he'd failed to light the lamp in the first nine games of 2023-24. Gaudreau's managed only five points in 10 contests and has one lonely power-play assist, but production could begin to come in bunches for the 30-year-old now that he's off the schneid.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Two helpers against Blueshirts

Gaudreau notched two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's win over the Rangers. He helped set up Boone Jenner for Columbus' first two goals of the night, and the first two tallies of Jenner's natural hat trick. Gaudreau is looking to rebound from a somewhat disappointing first season with the Blue Jackets, and while he might not return to the 115-point form he flashed with the Flames in 2021-22, the 30-year-old is still talented enough to deliver at least a point a game.

  • Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Ices preseason win

Gaudreau scored an empty-net goal in Monday's 5-3 preseason win over the Blues. The 30-year-old is locked into a top-six role for the Blue Jackets this season and a spot on the top power-play unit while acting as a mentor for young talent like 2023 third overall pick Adam Fantilli. Gaudreau's coming off a somewhat disappointing first campaign in Columbus, managing 21 goals and 74 points in 80 games, but he's proven during his time in Calgary that he has a much higher ceiling -- if he has the talent around him to reach it. If the Jackets' other star players like Patrik Laine and Zach Werenski can stay healthy and prospects like Fantilli are ready to make an impact, Gaudreau could shine once again.
