  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Makes relief appearance

Copley stopped six of eight shots in relief of Joonas Korpisalo in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Oilers in Game 5. The Oilers eased up a bit after Copley got into the contest, and the 31-year-old netminder still didn't put in a great effort. This was his first game action since April 8, and he's failed to record a win in his last four appearances. The Kings' season will be on the line in Game 6 on Saturday, but it seems likely Korpisalo will get the nod in that one.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Surrenders four goals

Copley stopped 19 of 23 shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Avalanche. Copley is starting to skid a bit, losing his last two starts. He's stopped 71 of 77 shots over his last three appearances. For the season, the 31-year-old netminder is at 24-6-3 with a 2.64 GAA and a .903 save percentage through 37 outings. The Kings' last two games are favorable matchups -- they host the Canucks on Monday and visit the Ducks on Thursday -- so both Copley and Joonas Korpisalo should have a chance to get on track prior to the playoffs.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Facing Avalanche

Per Eric Stephens of The Athletic, Copley was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate, putting him on track to patrol the home crease versus Colorado on Saturday. Copley played well in his last start Tuesday against the Oilers, turning aside 30 of 32 shots, but he still came away with a loss due to insufficient goal support from his teammates. He'll attempt to secure his 25th win of the season in a tough home matchup with a surging Avalanche team that's won six of its last seven games.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Strong in relief appearance

Copley stopped all 22 shots he faced in relief of Joonas Korpisalo in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Golden Knights. The damage was already done by the time Copley entered the game early in the second period. The 31-year-old has allowed more than two goals only once in nine appearances since the start of March. For the season, he's at 24-5-3 with a 2.60 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 36 games. Copley should be considered likely to start Saturday versus the Avalanche.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Win streak snapped

Copley gave up two goals on 32 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Oilers. The third goal was an empty-netter. Copley entered Tuesday having won his last four outings. He wasn't tested much early on, but he couldn't keep pace as the Oilers' power play took over in the second half of the game. Copley slipped to 24-5-3 with a 2.65 GAA and a .902 save percentage through 35 games this season. While he played well, it wouldn't be surprising to see Joonas Korpisalo get the start Thursday in Vegas.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Turns in solid win

Copley stopped 25 of 26 shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Kraken. A low-scoring game finally went the Kings' way, with Copley's strong play a large part of the win. He limited the damage to an Oliver Bjorkstrand power-play tally in the third period, which came on a scrambled and failed clearance in the slot. This was Copley's fourth straight win, and he's allowed 10 goals in that span. For the season, the 31-year-old is at 24-4-3 with a 2.67 GAA and a .901 save percentage through 34 appearances. It'll likely be Joonas Korpisalo between the pipes for Sunday's road-trip finale in Vancouver.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Hangs on against St. Louis

Copley allowed six goals on 22 shots in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Blues. Copley wasn't at his best Sunday, stopping only 16 of 22 shots, but it was enough to earn a win as the Kings' offense exploded for seven goals. Copley has won six of his last seven starts, despite a .891 save percentage in that span. The 31-year-old netminder should continue to alternate starts with Joonas Korpisalo down the stretch.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Plenty of support in win

Copley stopped 16 of 18 shots in Monday's 8-2 win over the Flames. Copley earned his fifth win in his last six outings. He's up to 22-4-3 with a 2.61 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 32 outings overall. The Kings are finding success with a goalie rotation, so look for Joonas Korpisalo to start Saturday against the Jets while Copley is lined up to face the Blues on Sunday.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Sharp in Thursday's win

Copley stopped 29 of 30 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets. Copley bounced back from a hard-luck shootout loss Saturday with another strong performance for his fourth win in his last five games. The Kings' offense helped him out with a four-goal second period. Copley is up to 21-4-3 with a 2.63 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 31 appearances. Head coach Todd McLellan appears satisfied with an even split of time between Copley and Joonas Korpisalo, so the latter should be expected to start versus the Canucks on Saturday.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Set to face Blue Jackets

Copley is the planned starter for Thursday's home game against Columbus, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports. Copley and Joonas Korpisalo are presently in a goaltending rotation, and Kings coach Todd McLellan wants to maintain it. That means Korpisalo, who was acquired from the Blue Jackets on March 1, isn't expected to start against his former team, but he is instead projected to be in net Saturday versus Vancouver. Copley has a 20-4-3 record, 2.69 GAA and .902 save percentage in 30 contests this season. He's done particularly well recently, posting a 1.63 GAA and a .932 save percentage over his last three outings. The Blue Jackets have the 29th-ranked offense with 2.64 goals per game in 2022-23.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Loses goalie duel in shootout

Copley stopped 29 of 30 shots in Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Predators. It was an unlikely goaltending duel in Hollywood, with Copley and Kevin Lankinen trading saves throughout the game. In the shootout, Matt Duchene's tally ended up being the difference, sending Copley to his first loss since Feb. 23, though the goalie can't be blamed for the lack of offense from his teammates. Copley is at 20-4-3 with a 2.69 GAA and a .902 save percentage through 30 contests. The Kings' next game is Tuesday versus the Islanders. Copley and Joonas Korpisalo have alternated starts since the latter's arrival at the trade deadline, but the pattern may be broken if coach Todd McLellan wants Korpisalo to face his former Blue Jackets teammates Thursday.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Taking on Nashville

Copley will guard the home goal Saturday versus the Predators, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports. Copley has won his last three starts, allowing nine goals over that span. He's needed to be sharp to avoid losing playing time to Joonas Korpisalo since the trade deadline. The Predators' offense isn't too threatening, so Copley makes for a solid play in fantasy.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Wins third straight start

Copley stopped 20 of 22 shots in Monday's 4-2 win over the Capitals. Copley has allowed nine goals during his three-game winning streak. The 31-year-old netminder gave up a goal in each of the second and third periods, but the Kings' offense covered that damage. Copley is up to 20-4-2 with a 2.76 GAA and an .899 save percentage through 29 appearances. His hot stretch has come at a good time, as he'll need to continue to play well in goal to fend off Joonas Korpisalo for starts. The Kings' next game is a tough road matchup Thursday in Colorado.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Defeats Canadiens

Copley stopped 19 of 21 shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Canadiens. Copley wasn't tested much, but it was still a close game throughout. He was able to hold the fort over the last 10 minutes after Denis Gurianov got the Canadiens within a goal. Copley is now at 19-4-2 with wins in his last two outings. He's added a 2.79 GAA and an .899 save percentage through a career-high 28 games. He'll need to keep getting positive results to avoid losing too much playing time to Joonas Korpisalo, who was acquired from the Blue Jackets on Wednesday. The Kings' next game is Saturday versus the Blues.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: In goal Thursday

Copley will guard the home goal Thursday versus the Canadiens, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports. Copley has just one win in his last five appearances, allowing 14 goals in that span. He'll draw a Canadiens team that has been battered by injuries all season. The Habs have scored 18 goals over their last six contests, going 3-3-0 in that span, so this is a fairly neutral matchup for Copley.
