Kings' Joonas Korpisalo: Gives up five goals in loss
Korpisalo stopped 21 of 26 shots in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Korpisalo wasn't able to save the Kings' season, turning in a fairly lackluster performance in the loss. The 29-year-old finished the first round on a three-game losing streak, and he gave up 22 tallies on 203 shots in the series. Korpisalo's set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and his strong play -- aside from his last three appearances -- will likely put him in high demand.

Kings' Joonas Korpisalo: Pulled in second period
Korpisalo gave up four goals on 19 shots in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Oilers in Game 5.
Korpisalo was pulled just over midway through the second period. Pheonix Copley stopped six of eight shots in relief of Korpisalo -- it's not the kind of effort that would suggest a change in the goaltending dynamic for the Kings. Whoever starts Game 6 on Saturday will be looking to save the season, as the Kings are now down 3-2 in the series. Korpisalo has allowed 17 goals on 177 shots across five games.

Kings' Joonas Korpisalo: Overwhelmed by Oilers
Korpisalo stopped 37 of 42 shots in a 5-4 overtime loss to Edmonton in Game 4 on Sunday.
It wasn't Korpisalo's best outing, but it was also the third time in four contests that he's faced at least 40 shots, so he could probably use a bit more help from his defense. With LA up 3-0 after one period, Korpisalo faced a staggering 20 shots in the second frame, and the contest was consequently tied at 3-3 by the second intermission. The 28-year-old has a 3.00 GAA and a .917 save percentage in four playoff appearances this year.

Kings' Joonas Korpisalo: Helps LA take Game 3
Korpisalo saved 38 of 40 shots in a 3-2 overtime victory over Edmonton in Game 3 on Friday.
The Kings are up 2-1 in their first-round series against the Oilers, and Korpisalo deserves a fair amount of the credit for that. While he has allowed eight goals over those three contests, the goaltender has been challenged regularly by Edmonton's high-powered offense, resulting in Korpisalo facing 116 shots. The Kings acquired him from Columbus on March 1 in the hopes that he would provide them with this kind of goaltending. The 28-year-old has more than delivered, also providing a 2.13 GAA and a .921 save percentage in 11 regular-season appearances with LA since the trade.

Kings' Joonas Korpisalo: Yields three goals in loss
Korpisalo stopped 33 of 36 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 2. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Korpisalo has been busy through two playoff games, but he's been solid with 70 saves on 76 shots. The 28-year-old saw his three-game winning streak end Wednesday. It appears he's earned a spot as the Kings' top goalie, though if he falters, Pheonix Copley could get a chance to right the ship. The Kings will look to take care of business on home ice in Friday's Game 3.

Kings' Joonas Korpisalo: Steady after rough first period
Korpisalo stopped 38 of 41 shots in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.
Korpisalo had a rough first period, allowing two goals before ultimately settling in. The Kings scored three times in the third, but Leon Draisaitl also had a goal to force overtime, where Alex Iafallo was the hero. This was Korpisalo's third straight win, and he's allowed six goals on 85 shots in that span. It's unclear if the Kings will alternate between Korpisalo and Pheonix Copley as they did for much of the time after the trade deadline or if they'll opt to ride the hot hand in the first round.
