Fabbro failed to crack the scoresheet in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers, his third game back in the lineup following a three-game absence as a healthy scratch. Fabbro recorded a career-high 24 points two seasons ago with the Preds but took a step back last season with just 11 points in 79 games. With just five points in 19 games this season, Fabbro doesn't move the fantasy needle enough to warrant much consideration outside of deeper leagues.... See More ... See Less

Predators' Dante Fabbro: One of each in loss
Fabbro scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in the Predators' 7-5 loss to the Coyotes on Saturday. Fabbro scored off a one-timer in the slot to give the Predators a 3-2 lead. He also collected an assist on Filip Forsberg's second goal. Fabbro had been struggling offensively before Saturday's game, scoring just two points in his first 12 games. Saturday's performance snapped a four-game pointless drought and gave him his first points in November. Fabbro should continue to see minutes on the top pairing.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Back on scoresheet
Fabbro delivered an assist and three blocked shots in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sharks. Fabbro is situated in a top-four role early this season, but he lacks power-play utility as well as the type of offensive firepower that fantasy managers require. The helper was Fabbro's first point through five games, and the 2016 first-round draft pick is averaging just one shot per contest. He's asked to fill a defensive role while skating on a pairing with the highly productive Roman Josi, who dropped 155 points over the last two seasons alone.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Agrees to one-year extension
Fabbro signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract extension with Nashville on Friday, per Jeff Marek of Sportsnet. Fabbro has a goal, eight points, 36 PIM, 71 hits and 83 blocks in 56 contests while averaging 16:04 of ice time this season. The 24-year-old is playing through the final season of a two-year, $4.8 million contract. Before signing the extension, Fabbro was eligible to become a restricted free agent this summer.... Predators' Dante Fabbro: Pointless streak continues
Fabbro was a plus-3 and had three blocked shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Sharks, but he failed to crack the scoresheet for the 14th straight game. With a career-high 24 points last season, the 24-year-old Fabbro appeared to be developing offensively on the Preds' blue line. However, following the addition of Ryan McDonagh during the offseason, Fabbro has been skating on the third pairing and averaging three fewer minutes of ice time compared to last year (16:03 vs. 19:03). Unsurprisingly, his offensive totals have taken a hit, with just one goal and seven assists in 53 games. Fabbro's still worth keeping an eye on, but he isn't worth a roster spot on your fantasy squad at this time.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Snags assist in Saturday's loss
Fabbro notched an assist and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres. Fabbro had a shot tipped in by Ryan Johansen to tie the game at 3-3 in the second period. This was Fabbro's first helper through five appearances in January, though he was a healthy scratch for a couple of contests to begin the month. The 24-year-old blueliner has struggled to generates offense this season with one goal, seven assists, 53 shots on net and a plus-3 rating in 39 outings. He's added 60 blocked shots and 49 hits, providing some physical play in a bottom-four role.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Adds rare helper Saturday
Fabbro notched an assist in Saturday's overtime loss to the Golden Knights. Now with just seven points on the season (1G, 6A), Fabbro continues to regress from the career-high 24 points he posted last season. Unfortunately for him, the offseason addition of Ryan McDonagh has pushed Fabbro down the Preds' depth chart, resulting in reduced ice time and fewer opportunites to contribute offensively.... Predators' Dante Fabbro: Finds back of net Tuesday
Fabbro scored a goal in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to Edmonton. Fabbro's marker came at 9:53 of the second period and narrowed Edmonton's lead to 4-3. It was his first goal and fifth point in 26 contests this season. He entered the game averaging 16:20 of ice time, but logged 18:48 on Tuesday. There's an opportunity for Fabbro to play an expanded role for now because Jeremy Lauzon (upper body), Alexandre Carrier (upper body) and Ryan McDonagh (upper body) all recently joined Mark Borowiecki (upper body) on the Predators' list of unavailable defensemen.... Predators' Dante Fabbro: Struggling offensively
Fabbro extended his current scoring drought to eight games Saturday against the Senators. Fabbro enjoyed a career-high 24-point season last year, but he's taken a step back so far this year. With just four assists in 24 games, he'll be lucky to crack the 15-point mark given his current pace. It's worth noting, however, that Fabbro's ice time has fallen by nearly three minutes per game this year (16:10 vs. 19:03 last year), so that may be part of the problem. He's currently skating on the third defensive pairing with Jeremy Lauzon.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Slides helper in loss
Fabbro posted an assist and two blocked shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche. Fabbro set up defense partner Roman Josi for a goal in the third period. This was Fabbro's second assist in three contests since he sat out a game as a healthy scratch, so he clearly received the message sent from head coach John Hynes. The 24-year-old blueliner has three assists, 19 hits, 16 blocked shots, 16 shots on net, eight PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 13 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Rejoins lineup, earns assist
Fabbro posted an assist and three hits in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Canucks. Fabbro was scratched for Thursday's game in Calgary amid his nine-game point drought. He rejoined the lineup Saturday with Alexandre Carrier taking his place in the press box, and Fabbro responded to the benching with an assist on Nino Niederreiter's game-tying tally in the third period. The helper was Fabbro's first since Opening Night. He's added 15 shots on net, 18 hits, 12 blocked shots, eight PIM and a minus-1 rating through 11 appearances, but head coach John Hynes' recent roster decisions suggest the Predators' fringe blueliners will need to be at their best to stick in the lineup.... Predators' Dante Fabbro: Pockets assist in win
Fabbro registered an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-1 win over the Sharks. Fabbro set up newcomer Nino Niederreiter's first Predators goal in the second period. Last year was a breakout season for Fabbro, who registered 24 points and a plus-13 rating in 66 contests while averaging 19:03 of ice time per game. He may see a slightly reduced role in 2022-23 with the addition of Ryan McDonagh in a trade from the Lightning, but Fabbro should be a top option to fill a spot in the top four should injuries arise.... Predators' Dante Fabbro: Generates assist Friday
Fabbro posted an assist, three blocked shots, two hits, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Coyotes. Fabbro picked up five points in the last eight games of the season. The 23-year-old defenseman has served as a more defensive presence alongside Roman Josi for parts of this season, and they'll likely open the playoffs as a pairing. Fabbro recorded 24 points, 88 shots on net, 105 blocked shots and 69 hits in 66 outings in the regular season.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: One of each in overtime loss
Fabbro scored a goal and added an assist in Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Wild. Fabbro set up Filip Forsberg's goal in the first period before scoring the tally that forced overtime in the third. This was Fabbro's third multi-point effort of the season. The 23-year-old has been solid this season with three goals, 23 points, 84 shots on net, 96 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating through 63 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Returning Tuesday
Fabbro (upper body) is set to return to the lineup Tuesday versus the Wild, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports. Fabbro missed five games with the injury. He'll return in a top-pairing role alongside Roman Josi for this contest. With Mark Borowiecki (undisclosed) also returning, Matt Benning and Jeremy Davies will exit the lineup and should only see part-time roles going forward.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Out week-to-week
Fabbro (upper body) is considered week-to-week. Fabbro had to have suffered an injury Monday versus the Ducks, though he logged 18:55 of ice time in that span. Mattias Ekholm (illness) is likely to return to the lineup Tuesday to replace Fabbro.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Hands out another assist
Fabbro logged an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Stars. Fabbro fed Roman Josi for the game-winning goal with 1:22 left in the third period. The 23-year-old Fabbro has looked good lately with six assists in his last eight games. The blueliner is up to 17 points, 63 shots on net, 62 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-16 rating in 46 contests overall. As long as he's seeing first-pairing minutes alongside Josi, Fabbro should have some appeal in deeper fantasy formats.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Strong showing in win
Fabbro logged an assist, went plus-4, blocked three shots and fired two shots on goal in Saturday's 8-0 win over the Sharks. Fabbro helped out on Michael McCarron's opening tally at 10:43 of the first period. This was Fabbro's fifth assist in his last seven games, a span in which he's also posted a plus-8 rating. The 23-year-old defenseman continues to look ready for a top-four role, at least defensively. He's at 16 points, a plus-16 rating, 61 blocked shots, 61 shots on net and 22 PIM through 45 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Activated off IR
Fabbro (upper body) was removed from injured reserve Tuesday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports. Fabbro is expected to play Tuesday against Vancouver, Bratten adds. The 23-year-old has averaged 19:21 of ice time and recorded seven points over his last 11 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Predators' Dante Fabbro: Labeled week-to-week
Fabbro (upper body) will not play against the Blues on Monday and is considered week-to-week. This will rule Fabbro out for at least the next few games, including Tuesday's tilt with Vancouver. The 23-year-old has averaged 19:04 of ice time with 11 points through 35 games this season. Ben Harpur will draw into the lineup in his absence Monday.... See More ... See Less
