Mahura notched an assist in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Hurricanes in Game 2. This was Mahura's second helper in 14 playoff contests. He's often been limited to a third-pairing role, though he logged 29:08 of ice time in a quadruple-overtime Game 1 and another 14:01 in Saturday's contest. Even with a few more minutes, he's unlikely to make much of an impact on offense. The 25-year-old has produced 18 hits, 12 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating.... See More ... See Less

Mahura posted an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Canucks. Mahura set up Matthew Tkachuk for the opening tally at 18:14 of the first period. This was Mahura's second assist in the last six games and his fifth point in 24 contests overall. Panthers' Josh Mahura: Grabs first apple
Mahura notched an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Coyotes. Mahura has adjusted fairly well to the Panthers' lineup, though he's still seeing only bottom-four minutes. The defenseman has two goals, one assist, 12 shots on net, nine hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 10 contests. Mahura topped out at seven points and 38 games with the Ducks last year, but playing with a strong offense could see his production increase in 2022-23.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Josh Mahura: Connects on the first goal
Mahura scored the eventual game-winning goal, leading the Panthers to a 4-3 victory over the Flyers on Wednesday. Mahura, who has yet to score more than three goals during parts of the past four seasons with the Ducks, received a fresh start with the Panthers. It took the 24-year-old defenseman four games to contribute offensively, but his third-period goal Wednesday sealed the win. Mahura did not earn regular shifts in three of his four appearances.... Panthers' Josh Mahura: Going to Florida
The Panthers claimed Mahura off waivers from Anaheim on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Mahura accounted for three goals, four assists, 36 shots on net, 51 blocks and 63 hits in 38 games with the Ducks last season. The Panthers had five blueliners on the ice for Monday's practice even though Matt Kiersted (lower body) might be ready for the start of the year. Mahura will serve as some insurance.... See More ... Ducks' Josh Mahura: Cut Sunday
Mahura was placed on waivers Sunday, per CapFriendly. Mahura was competing for a bottom-pairing role with the Ducks but will likely begin the year with AHL San Diego instead. The 24-year-old blueliner logged three goals and four assists in 38 games last season with Anaheim.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Yet to solidify place in lineup
Mahura finished the season with seven points in 38 contests. Mahura missed over a month with an upper-body injury, but he was in and out of the lineup at various points in the year for performance reasons. The 24-year-old often had to compete with Simon Benoit for playing time -- both play a heavy style that doesn't translate well in fantasy. Mahura added 63 hits and 51 blocked shots with a minus-14 rating this season, while his 14:04 of ice time per game was the lowest mark in his four seasons. He'll likely have to compete for his place in the lineup in 2022-23.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Scores in Tuesday's win
Mahura scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Sharks. Mahura gave the Ducks some breathing room at 10:47 of the third period. The 23-year-old defenseman has a goal and an assist in his last two outings. He's picked up seven points, 35 shots on net, 63 hits, 49 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating through 37 appearances. The Ducks will likely want him in the lineup Friday versus the Stars to get one last look at his play this season.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Back in action
Mahura (illness) will return to the lineup Saturday versus the Sharks. Mahura is expected to bump Brendan Guhle from the lineup, and he'll be paired with Kevin Shattenkirk. The 23-year-old Mahura has just four points with 46 hits and 40 blocked shots in 27 contests this season.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Not playing Wednesday
Mahura (illness) won't play Wednesday versus the Blackhawks. Mahura is one of three Ducks sidelined by an illness -- Troy Terry and Anthony Stolarz are also absent Wednesday. The 23-year-old Mahura will look to be healthy in time to play Saturday versus the Sharks.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Helpers in consecutive outings
Mahura logged an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Predators. Mahura now has assists in back-to-back games after going 15 contests without a point. The 23-year-old continues to play limited minutes on the third pairing, but he could press that issue with stronger scoring production. He's at four points, 17 shots on net, 43 hits, 37 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 24 outings this season.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Registers assist in loss
Mahura posted an assist, four hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Blackhawks. Mahura helped out on Jakob Silfverberg's second-period marker. The assist ended Mahura's 15-game point drought -- combined with 26 absences due to injuries and healthy scratches, he hadn't gotten on the scoresheet since Nov. 11. The 23-year-old is up to three points, 15 shots on net, 41 hits, 37 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating in 23 outings, though he's yet to secure an everyday role in his fourth campaign.... Ducks' Josh Mahura: Healthy scratch Tuesday
Mahura will be a healthy scratch Tuesday versus the Bruins, Elliott Teaford of The Orange County Register reports. Mahura had played in the Ducks last five games, but Brendan Guhle will get a turn in the lineup Tuesday. The 23-year-old Mahura hasn't logged a point in nine appearances since he came back from an upper-body injury. The blueliner has often been limited to a bottom-pairing role when he plays.... Ducks' Josh Mahura: Activated from IR
Mahura (upper body) was removed from the injured reserve Friday. Mahura hasn't played since Dec. 11, missing the last 13 games with his upper-body injury. He'll be in Friday's lineup against the Lightning. The 23-year-old has two points in 12 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Still out of action
Mahura (upper body) will not play Saturday versus the Rangers. Mahura will miss his eighth straight game, and the Ducks still have yet to provide a timeline for his return. Assume the defenseman is out indefinitely until he's spotted at practice.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Ruled out Tuesday
Mahura (upper body) will not take the ice against Philadelphia on Tuesday, per Elliott Teaford of The Orange County Register. Mahura has not been cleared to return to play and remains day-to-day.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Not playing Wednesday
Mahura (upper body) won't play Wednesday versus the Canucks. Mahura was designated to be out a little bit prior to the league's holiday break, and he hasn't been cleared to return yet. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect to see the 23-year-old return at least until he returns to practice.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Josh Mahura: Dealing with upper-body injury
Mahura will be out for "a little bit" with an upper-body injury. The 23-year-old blueliner has been placed on injured reserve. Mahura's absence will test Anaheim's depth on the back end, but it won't impact many fantasy lineups, as he's only picked up two points while averaging just 13:57 of ice time per contest through 12 top-level appearances this year. Another update on Mahura's status should surface once he's activated off IR.... See More ... See Less
