Kraken's Tye Kartye: Joining AHL team
Kartye was reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Tuesday, per CapFriendly.
Kartye made an excellent first impression during his 10-game stint in the NHL playoffs. He racked up three goals, two assists, 44 hits and a plus-6 rating while playing on a line with Jordan Eberle and Matty Beniers. That level of production will likely earn Kartye a long look during training camp in the fall as he fights to break camp with the Kraken in 2023-24.

Kraken's Tye Kartye: Ripples twine Saturday
Kartye scored a goal on two shots and added four hits in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Stars in Game 6.
Kartye had space above the left-wing circle, and he was able to fire a shot short side on Jake Oettinger, chasing the Stars' goalie from the game. With a point in four of the last five games, Kartye has solidified his place in the lineup. He's at three goals, two assists, 11 shots on net, 40 hits and a plus-6 rating through nine playoff outings.

Kraken's Tye Kartye: Physical in loss
Kartye notched an assist, two shots on goal and eight hits in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Stars in Game 5.
Kartye has shown some skill on offense with four points through eight playoff outings. He hasn't shied away from the physicality of postseason hockey either, racking up 36 hits to go with nine shots on net and a plus-5 rating. He's still seeing fairly sheltered minutes, but he looks like he could have a strong chance of making the Kraken's 2023-24 roster out of training camp after an AHL Rookie of the Year campaign.

Kraken's Tye Kartye: Gathers helper on opening goal
Kartye produced an assist, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Stars in Game 3.
Kartye took a shot that deflected to Jordan Eberle, who deked around Jake Oettinger for the opening goal 2:10 into the second period. Through six playoff games, Kartye's held his own with two goals, one assist, a plus-6 rating and 21 hits. He could come out of the lineup if Jared McCann (undisclosed) returns for Tuesday's Game 4, though Daniel Sprong (undisclosed) was hurt Sunday and may leave a spot in the lineup for Kartye to keep playing.

Kraken's Tye Kartye: Nets second goal
Kartye scored a goal and added five hits in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Stars in Game 2.
Kartye got the Kraken on the board in the second period. This was his second tally of the postseason since he joined the lineup in place of Jared McCann (undisclosed). Kartye has added five shots on net, 19 hits and a plus-4 rating while seeing most of his shifts on the top line.

Kraken's Tye Kartye: Scores in NHL debut
Kartye scored a goal and added three hits in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Avalanche in Game 5.
Jordan Eberle circled around the Avalanche net and found Kartye open in the slot. Kartye made no mistake, scoring his first NHL goal on his first shot to put the Kraken ahead 2-1 in the second period. The AHL Rookie of the Year saw 8:41 of ice time in his debut while filling in for Jared McCann (undisclosed). While Kartye was listed on the top line, he's more likely to get his shifts skipped on occasion for as long as he's in the lineup this postseason.

Kraken's Tye Kartye: Back with big club
Kartye was called up from AHL Coachella Valley on Wednesday, Bob Condor of the Kraken's official site reports.
Kartye was up with the Kraken earlier in the series, but he didn't play. The 21-year-old may have a chance to draw into the lineup Wednesday in Game 5 versus the Avalanche, as Jared McCann (undisclosed) will not play. Kartye practiced with Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle at the morning skate Wednesday.

Kartye was up with the Kraken as injury insurance for Tuesday's Game 1 versus the Avalanche, but he didn't play. He'll likely remain with the Firebirds during their AHL playoff run.

Kraken's Tye Kartye: Joins Kraken roster
Kartye was recalled from AHL Coachella Valley on Monday, Scott Malone of Root Sports reports.
Kartye registered 28 goals and 57 points in 72 games at the AHL level this season. He projects to be an extra forward for Seattle during the postseason.
