Kasper was injured while playing in his NHL debut Sunday. While the 18-year-old isn't likely to get any more work with the Red Wings before the end of the campaign, he'll probably get a long look during training camp. Kasper, who was taken with the No. 8 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, had eight goals, 23 points and 72 PIM in 52 games with the SHL's Rogle BK this season.

Kasper sustained a lower-body injury in his NHL debut against Toronto on Sunday and is considered day-to-day, Ted Kulfan of The Detroit News reports.
Kasper registered one shot and three hits in 14:59 of ice time versus the Leafs. In Sweden this season, the 18-year-old winger managed eight goals and 15 helpers in 52 contests before adding another three points in nine postseason contests. If he is fit enough to play against Montreal on Tuesday, the winger should maintain his top-six role.

Kasper posted 23 points in 52 regular-season games with Rogle and another three assists in nine postseason outings. The Red Wings are not in the playoff picture anymore, but it appears they'll let the eighth overall pick from 2022 get some NHL experience down the stretch.
