  • Blues' Mathias Laferriere: Pens one-year contract

Laferriere signed a one-year, two-way contract with St. Louis on Tuesday.

Laferriere, who was slated to become a restricted free agent this summer, had nine goals and 17 assists in 50 games with AHL Springfield during the 2022-23 season. The 22-year-old forward doesn't have any NHL experience yet.

  • Blues' Andre Heim: Signs entry-level contract

Heim signed a one-year, entry-level contact with St. Louis on Monday.

Heim generated 12 goals and 31 points in 42 games with HC Ambri-Piotta of Switzerland's National League during the 2022-23 campaign. The 25-year-old forward could get a chance to land a roster spot with the Blues out of training camp ahead of next season.

  • Blues' Leo Loof: Signs entry-level contract

Loof signed a three-year, entry-level contract with St. Louis on Friday.

The defenseman was taken in the third round -- 88th overall -- in 2020. Loof has spent the last two seasons with Ilves Tampere of the Finnish liiga. He had four goals and 16 points in 55 regular-season games, and he followed that up with a goal and two assists in 12 postseason games.

  • Blues' Vadim Zherenko: Returned to AHL

Zherenko was assigned to AHL Springfield on Friday, Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Zherenko was recalled Wednesday and was the backup to Jordan Binnington on Thursday versus Dallas. Zherenko was 10-8-3 with a 2.96 GAA and .918 save percentage with Springfield before his recall.

  • Blues' Tyler Tucker: Back in AHL

Tucker was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Friday, Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Tucker split his season between St. Louis and Springfield, scoring once and adding three assists in 26 NHL games, while managing three goals and 21 points at the AHL level.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Sharp in season finale

Binnington allowed one goal on 34 shots in Thursday's 1-0 loss to the Stars.

Binnington was solid Thursday, stopping 33 of 34 shots and blanking Dallas until the third period. However, St. Louis couldn't get anything going on offense, eventually falling 1-0. The 29-year-old Binnington finishes an up-and-down season 27-27-6 with an .894 save percentage and a 3.31 GAA.

  • Blues' Hugh McGing: Returns to AHL

McGing was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Thursday.

McGing made his NHL debut Wednesday, failing to record a fantasy-relevant stat in 9:37 of ice time versus the Stars. The 24-year-old winger will have to wait until 2023-24 to get another look in the NHL.

  • Blues' Justin Faulk: Not letting up at finish line

Faulk recorded an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Stars.

The Blues will not be in the playoffs, but Faulk's been playing like everything is on the line. He's popped off based on a four-game point streak comprised of a goal and five assists, and that's helped the veteran blueliner establish a new career high with 50 points (11 goals, 39 assists) through 81 contests. Faulk remains a fine complementary option to the league's elite cast of defensemen, and there's plenty of significance in the 112 hits and 138 blocked shots that he's racked up this season.

  • Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Nabs helper in loss

Kyrou picked up an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Stars.

The Blues wrap up their season Thursday, which is a rematch against the Stars, but this time it'll be a road clash. Kyrou has 37 goals and 36 assists, making it extremely likely that he'll finish with the team lead in goals and total points. Kyrou's minus-37 rating is a bit of an eyesore, but that stat generally holds minimal significance in fantasy hockey, and his 23 power-play points needs to be taken into consideration as well.

  • Blues' Joel Hofer: Returning to AHL

Hofer will be reassigned to AHL Springfield on Thursday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Hofer gave up five goals on 37 shots in a loss to the Stars on Wednesday, which will be his last NHL outing of the season. He went 3-1-1 in six appearances, allowing 17 goals in a solid but unremarkable showing this year. Hofer will likely have a chance to win the backup job in training camp next fall.

  • Blues' Vadim Zherenko: Will back up Thursday

Zherenko will be recalled from AHL Springfield to back up Jordan Binnington in Thursday's game versus the Stars, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Zherenko will likely continue to wait for his NHL debut, as Jordan Binnington will start the Blues' season finale. Joel Hofer will be reassigned to Springfield.

  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Two points in Wednesday's loss

Thomas had a goal and a power-play assist in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Stars.

Thomas helped out on a Jakub Vrana tally, then lit the lamp himself to tie the score at 2-2 with 20 seconds left in the first period. It was all Stars after that, though. With one game left on the Blues' schedule, Thomas has 18 goals and 47 assists in 72 appearances. Thomas played 19:44 in the game, so it appears he's behind the upper-body injury that recently sidelined him for five contests.

  • Blues' Joel Hofer: Gives up five again

Hofer allowed five goals on 37 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Stars.

Hofer was handed his first regulation loss of the season by the surging Stars, falling to 3-1-1 in six starts. He allowed five goals in his previous start as well but didn't wind up with a decision in that one. Hofer provided a spark for a while, but his last couple outings suggest the 22-year-old netminder may need more seasoning in the AHL. Jordan Binnington is expected to start St. Louis' season finale Thursday against these same Stars.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Starting season finale

Binnington will patrol the road crease during Thursday's season finale against Dallas, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Joel Hofer will get the nod for Wednesday's home game against the Stars, with Binnington getting the start on the road in the second half of back-to-back contests versus Dallas on Thursday. Binnington wasn't great in his last appearance Saturday against the Wild, surrendering four goals on 29 shots en route to a 5-3 defeat. He'll attempt to end the season on a high note by shooting for a win in a road matchup with a Stars squad that's 21-10-9 at home this year.

  • Blues' Joel Hofer: Slated to start

Per Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Hofer was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate, putting him on track to guard the home goal versus the Stars on Wednesday.

Hofer has been pretty solid during his limited time in the NHL this season, going 3-0-1 while posting a respectable 2.79 GAA and .915 save percentage through five games. He'll try to secure his fourth win of the year in a home matchup with a red-hot Dallas team that's won four straight games.
