Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Shut down until postseason
Irving (hamstring), who has already been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons, will also be held out of Sunday's game against the Thunder, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports.
Irving will get around a full week to rest his hamstring until the Mavericks begin their postseason run. He appeared in 58 regular-season games and averaged 25.6 points, 5.2 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 three-pointers and 1.3 steals in 35.0 minutes while shooting 49.7 percent from the field, 90.5 percent from the charity stripe and 41.1 percent from three-point land.
