Harrison agreed Monday with the Brewers on a minor-league contract and received an invitation to MLB spring training, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
It's a return to the Brewers' organization for Harrison, as he was drafted by Milwaukee in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft. The 27-year-old had a brief run in the majors last year with the Angels and had short big-league stints with the Marlins in 2020 and 2021, compiling a .176/.253/.294 slash line with a 48.7 percent strikeout rate in 76 MLB plate appearances. Harrison will likely be organizational depth for the Brew Crew, and the bulk of his playing time should come with Triple-A Nashville.

After he was designated for assignment Wednesday, Harrison went unclaimed on waivers and will now report to Salt Lake. The outfielder has produced a .213 average with six home runs, 24 RBI, 29 runs and 20 stolen bases over 174 at-bats in 50 games with Triple-A this season. In addition to Harrison, the Marlins also optioned another one of their top position prospects in first baseman Lewin Diaz to Jacksonville, where both he and Harrison will be able to play on an everyday basis. With Corey Dickerson, Starling Marte and Adam Duvall all seemingly locked in as at least large-side platoon players in the outfield, Harrison likely wouldn't have been in line to play more than two or three times per week had he made the Marlins' Opening Day roster.
