Dohy was released by the Phillies on Wednesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Dohy made his major-league debut for the Phillies late last season, but he was non-tendered by the club in late November before rejoining the organization on a minor-league deal. However, the southpaw posted a 7.41 ERA and 2.18 WHIP in 17 innings over 19 relief appearances at Triple-A Lehigh Valley to begin the season and will now become a free agent.... See More ... See Less

Phillies' Kyle Dohy: Non-tendered, re-signs on MiLB deal
Dohy was non-tendered by the Phillies on Tuesday, but he re-signed with the team on a minor-league contract that includes an invitation to spring training. Dohy lost his spot on the 40-man roster but will stick around the organization after quickly re-signing with the team. The 25-year-old delivered a scoreless frame in his big-league debut and spent most of 2021 at Double-A Reading, where he posted a 2.17 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 56:16 K:BB in 37.1 innings.... See More ... Phillies' Kyle Dohy: Earns first career call-up
Dohy's contract was selected by the Phillies on Saturday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports. The 25-year-old lefty has great stuff, but he'll have to overcome his poor control if he's to carve out a successful big-league career. He's struck out 34.6 percent of opposing batters over the course of his minor-league career but has offset that with a 17.0 percent walk rate. He's trimmed that walk rate slightly to 15.1 percent this season, leading to a 2.95 ERA in 42.2 innings in the upper minors. He'll take the bullpen spot that had belonged to Archie Bradley, who landed on the injured list with an oblique issue.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Kyle Dohy: Outrighted to alternate camp
Dohy was outrighted to the Phillies' alternate training site Thursday. Dohy's contract was selected by the Phillies in November to protect him from the Rule 5 draft, but he was unable to break camp with the team and will be removed from the 40-man roster to make room for infielder Ronald Torreyes. Dohy posted a 5.56 ERA and 1.78 WHIP over 69.2 innings in the minors during the 2019 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Kyle Dohy: Contract selected by Phillies
Dohy was added to the Phillies' 40-man roster Friday, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports. Dohy has progressed smoothly through the Phillies' farm system, and he'll now be protected from the Rule 5 draft. The southpaw struggled a bit at the Triple-A level in 2019, putting up a 6.19 ERA and 83:54 K:BB over 56.2 innings. If he can improve against higher-level talent, Dohy could make his major-league debut in 2021.... See More ... See Less
