The Angels optioned Adams to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday. The move doesn't come as a surprise, as Adams is buried on the Angels' outfield depth chart. He went just 5-for-39 during his brief time in the majors last season.... See More ... See Less

Angels' Jordyn Adams: Heads to Triple-A
Adams was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday. Adams has appeared in seven contests for the Angels in September, going 3-for-25 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored. He'll be sent to the minors to make room for Michael Stefanic, who was recalled Monday.... See More ... See Less -
Angels' Jordyn Adams: Steps out of lineup
Adams is not in the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Tigers, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports. Adams started the last six games and will head to the bench after going 2-for-22 with a run and nine strikeouts. Jared Walsh will man right field and bat cleanup Sunday for the Halos.... See More ... Angels' Jordyn Adams: Recalled from Triple-A
The Angels recalled Adams from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday. Adams was just optioned to the minors Thursday, but the Angels need him again after losing Mickey Moniak (back) to the 10-day injured list. Adams has gone 5-for-32 (.156) through his first 15 major-league games this season, but the 23-year-old stands to receive regular starts down the stretch in the Halos' outfield.... See More ... Angels' Jordyn Adams: Optioned to Salt Lake
The Angels optioned Adams to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday. Adams has gone 5-for-32 (.156) with zero extra-base hits and 14 strikeouts through his first 15 major-league games this season. Kyren Paris was also optioned back to Salt Lake on Thursday as Jared Walsh and David Fletcher return to the big-league roster.... See More ... See Less -
Angels' Jordyn Adams: Nabs fourth straight start
Adams will start in left field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Mariners, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. He'll pick up a fourth consecutive start after going 1-for-11 with a run scored in the previous three contests. Despite the recent increase in playing time, Adams could soon be at risk of moving into a bench role if Mickey Moniak (back) is cleared to return to the lineup during this weekend's series versus the Tigers.... Angels' Jordyn Adams: Recalled from Salt Lake
The Angels recalled Adams from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday. Adams had a rough time at the plate during his first MLB stint, going just 2-for-14 with six strikeouts across 10 games. Nonetheless, he'll return to Anaheim to give the Angels another option in the outfield. Davis Daniel was optioned to Salt Lake in a corresponding move.... See More ... See Less -
Angels' Jordyn Adams: Reassigned to MiLB camp
The Angels reassigned Adams to minor-league camp Friday. The 23-year-old outfielder reached Double-A for the first time last season, slashing .249/.326/.359 through 236 plate appearances. He certainly turned some heads this spring with a 1.004 OPS and four steals, but there remains more for Adams to do before he's ready for Triple-A and the majors -- bringing down his 29.7 percent strikeout rate would be a good start.... Angels' Jordyn Adams: Part of 60-man roster
Adams will be part of the Angels' 60-man roster. While seemingly unlikely to grab significant at-bats at the MLB level this season, Adams -- who is not on the 40-man roster -- will still be able to work on his development in what is looking like the absence of a minor-league season. The 20-year-old's highest league level in 2019 was High-A, but he did receive multiple promotions last year and recorded a .720 OPS across three levels.... See More ... See Less -
Angels' Jordyn Adams: Likely to be part of player pool
Adams is expected to be included in the Angels' 60-man player pool, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. Adams is considered one of the organization's top prospects despite slashing a ho-hum .250/.346/.358 in Low-A ball last season. The 20-year-old has demonstrated a knack for taking a walk and has plenty of speed, and inclusion in the player pool should give him an opportunity to develop as a hitter with the minor-league season all but certain to be canceled.... Angels' Jordyn Adams: Sent to Low-A
Adams will open the year with Low-A Burlington, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports. This is a typical assignment for a 19-year-old position player who was taken in the first round of the previous year's draft, but it's noteworthy with Adams because he is still a pretty raw hitter, and this assignment should give him a challenge. Don't panic if he doesn't get off to a great start against Low-A pitchers, but if he were to have a seamless transition, that would be an excellent sign.... See More ... See Less -
Angels' Jordyn Adams: Sidelined with broken jaw
Adams is currently dealing with a broken jaw, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. Adams' jaw is wired shut, so it's safe to say he won't be getting into minor-league action for a bit. No timetable for his return has come forth, though he's expected to have the wires removed from his mouth Friday, according to Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com. It's also encouraging that he is able to continue working out while he's sidelined with this injury.... See More ... See Less
