The Red Sox reassigned Hamilton to minor-league camp Friday.
Hamilton had a solid season in Triple-A last year, slashing .238/.371/.447 with 42 RBI through 251 plate appearances, and has also logged a 1.147 OPS in spring training. If Hamilton proves he can maintain a similar level of output in Triple-A again, he'd likely return to the majors at some point this year.

The Red Sox outrighted Hamilton to Triple-A Worcester on Friday.
Hamilton will remain in the Boston organization after he cleared waivers upon being designated for assignment last week. The Red Sox previously claimed Hamilton in October off waivers from the Twins, with whom he posted a .449 OPS over 23 plate appearances in 2022.

Hamilton was designated for assignment by the Red Sox on Tuesday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
The 27-year-old was claimed off waivers by Boston in mid-October but won't stick on the 40-man roster through the offseason. Hamilton made his big-league debut with Minnesota last season and went 1-for-18 with 14 strikeouts and four walks.

Hamilton was claimed off waivers by the Red Sox on Tuesday, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
Hamilton made 23 plate appearances for Minnesota in 2022 and recorded just one hit. After being placed on waivers earlier in the week, he now joins Boston as organizational catching depth. Abraham Almonte was designated for assignment by the Red Sox in a corresponding move.

Twins' Caleb Hamilton: Recalled from minors
The Twins recalled Hamilton from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Hamilton appeared in three games and went 0-for-5 before being demoted at the beginning of August. He figures to play sparingly as long as Gary Sanchez and Sandy Leon are healthy and active.

Twins' Caleb Hamilton: Sent down Wednesday
Hamilton was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Hamilton's contract was selected by the Twins in mid-July, but he saw minimal playing time while on the active roster. He went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts over three games and will head back to the minors after Sandy Leon's contract was selected Wednesday.

Hamilton had his contract selected by the Twins on Friday.
The 27-year-old will receive his first taste of the big leagues with starting catcher Ryan Jeffers (thumb) placed on the injured list. Hamilton has a .258/.392/.497 slash line with 10 home runs and 35 RBI for Triple-A St. Paul this year, and he should serve as Minnesota's backup catcher as Gary Sanchez takes over primary duties behind the plate.
