Barton will join the first unit for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports. Barton will make his first start in a Raptors uniform Wednesday with Scottie Barnes (wrist) and Gary Trent (elbow) sidelined. In his first game with Toronto Barton scored 15 points and nabbed six rebounds over 27 minutes but has averaged just 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.2 minutes per game since. Expect him to hold a role closer to his first outing Wednesday.... See More ... See Less

Raptors' Will Barton: Fails to score in 13 minutes
Barton totaled zero points (0-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists over 13 minutes during Sunday's 118-111 loss to the Bucks. While Barton has been able to play minutes on a regular basis since arriving in Toronto, he remains well off the fantasy radar, even in deeper formats. His decline has been something to behold, going from a top-90 player last season to outside the top 300 in 2022-23. Clearly, managers need not waste their time paying any attention to the situation in Toronto.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Will Barton: Vanishing act continues in win
Barton finished Thursday's 128-111 win over the Thunder with three points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt) and one rebound over 11 minutes. Barton played just 11 minutes in the win, continuing what has been a rapid fall from grace this season. Even a recent trade to Toronto has done nothing to improve his fantasy appeal, now sitting well outside the top 300 for the season. Quite clearly, he should not be on the radar in any format.... Raptors' Will Barton: Available Friday
Barton (illness) is available Friday against the Lakers. Barton has been used sparingly since joining the Raptors, and it doesn't help his case that Toronto uses a tight rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Will Barton: Termed probable for Friday
Barton (illness) is considered probable to play Friday versus the Lakers, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports. Barton was unable to take the floor Tuesday after coming down with a non-COVID illness, but the outlook seems much rosier for him to return Friday. Even if he rejoins the action, Barton has averaged just 8.0 minutes over his last five appearances, so he's not a significant fantasy asset.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Will Barton: Will not play Wednesday
Barton (illness) will be sidelined for Wednesday's meeting with the Clippers, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. Barton was a late addition to the injury report Wednesday afternoon with a non-COVID illness and will, in fact, not play in the contest. However, he has averaged just 8.8 minutes per game with Toronto, so his absence will have minimal impact on coach Nick Nurse's rotation. Barton's next chance to play will come Friday against the Lakers.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Will Barton: Questionable against Clippers
Barton is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Clippers due to a non-COVID illness, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports. Barton's late addition to the injury report is a bad sign regarding his availability Wednesday. However, the 31-year-old forward is averaging just 2.0 points and 0.8 assists in 8.8 minutes across his first four games in Toronto, so his potential absence shouldn't have much fantasy impact.... Raptors' Will Barton: Plays 11 minutes off bench
Barton had five points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 11 minutes during Monday's 118-113 loss to the Nuggets. After going scoreless across 11 total minutes in his first two appearances with Toronto, the veteran wing has now played double-digit minutes in back-to-back games and posted his highest-scoring outing as a Raptor on Monday. However, his current role isn't enough to warrant fantasy relevancy, so it's safe leaving him on the waiver wire in standard leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Will Barton: Available Tuesday
Barton will be available to make his debut Tuesday against the Bulls, reports Oren Weisfeld of the Toronto Star. The Raptors typically run a tight rotation, so it will be interesting to see what kind of role they envision for Barton, who signed with the team Tuesday. With his resume, Barton has a good shot of becoming a big part of the second unit once he gets up to speed with his teammates.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Will Barton: Joins Toronto
The Raptors signed Barton on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Barton recently reached a buyout with the Wizards and will join a playoff contender in Toronto. The veteran forward has played in 29 career postseason games between the Nuggets and Blazers earlier in his career, and he's shot 35.5 percent from deep across 12 seasons in the NBA. Barton figures to garner a prominent role behind Gary Trent and OG Anunoby when he's up to speed with his new squad.... See More ... See Less -
Will Barton: Buyout completed
Barton finalized a contract buyout with the Wizards on Tuesday, and he'll become a free agent when he clears waivers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Barton averaged 7.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 19.4 minutes across 40 games for Washginton this season before falling out of head coach Wes Unseld's rotation in late December. He's appeared in just nine of the Wizards' past 18 contests and posted 5.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 9.8 minutes during that stretch. Given the veteran forward's offensive track record, he'll likely draw interest from contending teams who are looking for a little more firepower off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Will Barton: Finalizing buyout agreement
The Wizards are buying out Barton's contract Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Barton is averaging 7.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 19.6 minutes across 40 games for Washington this season. The 32-year-old guard will likely receive significant interest from some teams in the free-agent market.... See More ... See Less -
Wizards' Will Barton: Solid showing off bench
Barton racked up 15 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds and one steal over 27 minutes off the bench during Monday's 114-91 loss to the Cavaliers. The veteran wing was the only member of Washington's second unit to score in double digits on the night. Barton had been a DNP - Coach's Decision for four straight games and eight of the last 10 prior to Monday, but it's not clear whether his return to the rotation was to showcase him for a possible trade or simply due to a lack of other options with Bradley Beal (foot) sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Wizards' Will Barton: Reduced role continues
Barton ended with eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists over 15 minutes during Tuesday's 127-126 win over Dallas. Barton remains an afterthought when it comes to fantasy, logging just 15 minutes in the victory. Prior to Tuesday, he had not even been in the rotation for over a week, highlighting what a struggle it has been since arriving in Washington. At this point, it appears as though a trade is Barton's only chance at redeeming himself. For now, however, managers can focus their attention elsewhere.... See More ... See Less -
Wizards' Will Barton: Barely plays in win
Barton posted no counting stats across two minutes during Friday's 119-100 win over Orlando. After seeing zero minutes in the previous game, Barton managed to get on the court Friday night for less than three minutes, contributing no positive statistics. This was also without Bradley Beal, who sat out (hamstring). Barton's minutes had been gradually decreasing over the past couple weeks, and it seems he's now almost completely out of the rotation for the time being.... See More ... See Less -
Wizards' Will Barton: Outside of rotation
Barton has been a DNP-Coach's Decision across the past two games. Barton has struggled after being traded from Denver to Washington during the offseason. The veteran is shooting just 37.1 percent from the field and has the worst point differential on the team (-11.4 per 100 possessions). It's not clear if he'll re-enter the rotation, and the front office may look to unload him at the deadline.... See More ... See Less -
Wizards' Will Barton: Removed from injury report
Barton (back) isn't on the injury report for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia. Barton was initially considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup, but he'll be able to return after missing Friday's game due to low back pain. Over his last six appearances, he's averaged 12.2 points, 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Wizards' Will Barton: Questionable against Philadelphia
Barton (back) is questionable to play in Tuesday's game against the 76ers, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports. Barton is questionable Tuesday after missing Friday's game with low back pain. Rui Hachimura and Corey Kispert will likely see extended minutes if Barton is ruled out.... See More ... See Less -
Wizards' Will Barton: Won't play due to back pain
Barton has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Kings due to low back pain, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports. Barton was a late addition to the injury report and won't play Friday due to back pain, and the issue will cause him to miss the action. Deni Avdija (back) is also out, so Corey Kispert, Anthony Gill and Rui Hachimura are all candidates for increased roles.... See More ... See Less -
Wizards' Will Barton: Remains limited in win
Barton racked up six points (2-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 17 minutes during Tuesday's 113-110 victory over the Suns. Barton scored in double figures in each of his first three appearances after returning from a two-game absence, but he's now been held below 10 points in back-to-back games. He was also unable to generate much production in secondary categories Tuesday, as he had one of his worst fantasy performances of the season.... See More ... See Less

Josh Lewenberg@JLew10502D agoWe're 23 minutes in and Will Barton and Chris Boucher are among the 5 (!!) Raptors players who have attempted more shots than Pascal Siakam. That can't happen, especially with 3 rotation players out and the team playing this poorly on both ends. Need more from their best player.
