Portland recalled Murray from the G League's Rip City Remix on Tuesday. Murray, Moses Brown and Rayan Rupert were all elevated to the parent club following Rip City's 107-103 win over Ontario on Monday. Portland recalled Murray from the G League's Rip City Remix on Saturday. Murray appeared for Rip City in its season opener Friday, totaling 18 points, six boards and two assists over 31 minutes. Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Shows out in Summer League
Murray recorded 19 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-4 FT) and seven rebounds in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 97-93 Summer League win over Charlotte. Murray was Portland's first-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and had his best Summer League game to date Tuesday. Trail Blazers' Kris Murray: Selected 23rd by Portland
Murray was selected by the Trail Blazers with the 23rd pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Murray was a standout junior for Iowa, improving tremendously from his first two seasons. He averaged 20.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals, earning himself a spot on the First Team All-Big 10. The twin brother of Keegan Murray of the Sacramento Kings, Kris could potentially have a lot of opportunities in Portland's forward rotation, as Nassir Little, Cam Reddish and Matisse Thybulle are all restricted free agents, while Jerami Grant is an unrestricted free agent....
