The Ravens DST is no longer the juggernaut it once was, but they can still come up with big plays when needed. Still, they finished just 16th among 32 NFL teams last year in Fantasy points as a unit, and are likely to experience their share of struggles in Week 1 against the Broncos Thursday.
The Ravens did put up a big Fantasy day the last time these two teams met up, finishing with 15 Fantasy points in a playoff win. Unfortunately, they were still tagged for 35 points in the game, with only a touchdown via defense and special teams making up for another poor showing.
Opposing DST units averaged just 5.9 Fantasy points per game against the Broncos, including a 2-point showing in a previous meeting with the Ravens. Fantasy owners should not be counting on this DST as anything more than a low-end starting option in most leagues.
