Noesen suffered a Grade 3 shoulder separation in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to Florida in Game 4, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports. Grade 3 is the most serious of shoulder separations as it is a complete tear of both the AC (acromioclavicular) and CC (coracoclavicular) ligaments. Noesen had 13 goals and 36 points in 78 regular-season games, including seven tallies and eight helpers on the power play. Noesen chipped in with four goals and four assists in 15 playoff games as he saw plenty of action on the top line. No timetable was given for Noesen's return.... See More ... See Less

Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Leaves Game 4 with injury
Noesen (upper body) won't finish Wednesday's Game 4 versus the Panthers. Noesen initially left the game in the first period, then he returned for the second before he was ruled out for good in the third. He's picked up eight points through 14 playoff contests while seeing top-six minutes. It's unclear if he'll be able to play Friday if the Hurricanes force a Game 5.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Offers helper in loss
Noesen provided an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Panthers in Game 2. Noesen has a goal and an assist over his last two outings after ending the second round on a three-game point drought. The 30-year-old has maintained a top-line role and a place on the first power-play unit even with Teuvo Teravainen back from a broken hand. Noesen has four goals, four assists, 21 shots on net, 34 hits, nine PIM and a minus-3 rating through 13 playoff contests.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Strikes on power play
Noesen scored a power-play goal on five shots and added six hits in Thursday's 3-2 quadruple-overtime loss to the Panthers in Game 1. Noesen tied the game at 2-2 in the third period, leading to nearly four full frames of overtime hockey. The tally snapped his three-game point drought. The 30-year-old forward has earned seven points through 12 playoff contests, and five of those points have come with the man advantage as he continues to excel as a net-front presence. He's added 18 shots, 32 hits, nine PIM and a minus-4 rating.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Provides marker in Game 2
Noesen found the back of the net in a 6-1 victory over New Jersey in Game 2 on Friday. Noesen's goal midway through the third period extended the Hurricanes' lead to 6-1. That pushed him up to three markers and six points in eight playoff contests this year, including two points over his last two appearances. Over 78 regular-season outings, Noesen had 13 goals and 36 points.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Registers two helpers in victory
Noesen notched a pair of power-play assists versus the Islanders in Sunday's 5-2 win in Game 4. Noesen has been a solid producer for the Canes in the postseason with two goals and two assists, all of which were earned with the man advantage. There is little reason to expect Noesen to be dropped from the No. 1 power-play unit at this point, so he should continue providing solid fantasy value in that role.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Scores goal vs. Islanders
Noesen netted a goal in Carolina's 4-3 overtime win over the Islanders in Game 2 on Wednesday. Noesen's marker came on the power play and put Carolina up 2-0 midway through the second period. He's picked the perfect time to get hot, supplying three goals over his last four contests, including two markers in two playoff outings. During the regular season, Noesen contributed 13 goals and 36 points in 78 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Scores game-winner Monday
Noesen scored the game-winning power-play goal versus the Islanders in Game 1 on Monday. Noesen has found the back of the net in two of the last three games, including the end of the regular season. This season was the first time in his career that Noesen found himself in a significant power-play role, racking up 15 points with the man advantage this year.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Good to go Monday
Noesen (lower body) will be in Monday's lineup against Ottawa, per the NHL's media site. Noesen was considered a game-time decision but he'll return to action after a one-game absence. The 30-year-old has 12 goals and 35 points through 75 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Game-time decision
Noesen (lower body) will be a game-time decision Monday versus the Senators, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports. Noesen, who was a full participant in Sunday's practice, sat out Saturday's 4-3 loss to Buffalo. He is expected to take part in the pregame warmups Monday before a determination on his availability is made.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Not playing Saturday
Noesen (lower body) won't be in the lineup versus Buffalo on Saturday. Noesen has been seeing second line action as well as time on the second power play unit. He has 12 goals and 35 points in 75 games, with seven tallies and eight assists coming with the man advantage. Consider him day-to-day.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Notches two assists
Noesen posted two assists and five shots in the Hurricanes' 3-2 overtime win over the Senators on Tuesday. Noesen picked up helpers on Jesperi Kotkaniemi's opening goal and Brady Skjei's power-play goal. This performance extends his point streak to three games with four points in that span. On the year, Noesen has 12 goals and 33 points in 73 games.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Expected to play Thursday
Noesen (lower body) will play Thursday against Detroit, per Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site. Noesen couldn't complete Tuesday's contest due to the injury, but he's right back into the lineup. The 30-year-old has 12 goals and 31 points in 70 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Doubtful to return to game
Noesen (lower body) is doubtful to return to Tuesday's game versus the Lightning. Noesen was injured in the second period. If he can't play Thursday in Detroit, Jesse Puljujarvi would likely rejoin the Hurricanes' lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Ends scoring drought with late goal
Noesen scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Rangers. Nosen tied the game 2-2 midway through the third period, one-timing a feed from Jesper Fast from the front of the net. It's Noesen's first goal since Feb. 14, a span of 15 games. The 30-year-old forward is up to 11 goals and 19 assists through 66 games while primarily playing a bottom-six role in Carolina.... Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Hasn't scored in a month
Noesen failed to crack the scoresheet for the 11th straight game in Saturday's 4-0 loss to the Golden Knights. While it's fair to say Noesen's teammates didn't help matters either, the fact remains Noesen hasn't registered a point since his two-point effort against the Capitals on Feb. 14. He continues to skate primarily on the Canes' fourth line, which diminishes his fantasy appeal, though Noesen also features on the team's first power-play unit (2:46 average TOI).... See More ... Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Two points including GWG
Noesen scored the game-winning goal on the power play and added an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 3-2 victory over the Capitals. The 'Canes only had the man advantage for 31 seconds the entire night, but Noesen made those seconds count as he tipped home a Brady Skjei point shot midway through the second period for the night's final goal. Noesen has multi-point performances in two of the last three games, but his bottom-six role at even strength limits his fantasy upside even as he seems to have found a home on the Carolina power play. On the season, the 30-year-old journeyman has 10 goals and 27 points through 50 games, with about half that production (seven goals, six helpers) coming on the PP.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Gets two points Wednesday
Noesen provided a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win over Buffalo on Wednesday. Noesen found the back of the net at 10:05 of the first period to push Carolina's lead up to 2-0. He has nine goals and 24 points in 48 contests in 2022-23. Noesen was held off the scoresheet in five of his previous six games.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Stealthy producer
Noesen earned a power-play assist in Friday's 5-4 overtime win over the Sharks. Noesen has a unique fantasy profile because he's utilized on the No. 1 power-play unit but otherwise shows up on the fourth line for 5-on-5 shifts. A sneaky offensive producer, Noesen has earned eight goals, 15 assists and a plus-7 rating through 45 games, and 12 of his points have taken place on the man advantage.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Stefan Noesen: Good to go
Noesen (lower body) is expected to play Tuesday against New Jersey, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports. Noesen, who sat out the past two games, will be back alongside Teuvo Teravainen and Jesperi Kotkaniemi in Tuesday's contest. He has compiled eight goals, 20 points, 75 shots on goal and 52 hits in 37 games this season.... See More ... See Less
