The 22-year-old has maintained steady middle-six minutes and a power-play role, but the Sharks' overall lack of scoring talent hasn't given him many chances to contribute. Sharks' Thomas Bordeleau: Generates power-play assist
Bordeleau logged a power-play assist, two hits and two PIM in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Stars. Bordeleau set up a William Eklund tally two minutes into the second period. While the Sharks haven't done much right this year, Bordeleau has been a bright spot with five goals and two assists over 10 appearances since he was called up March 5. Bordeleau scored two goals on four shots in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Blackhawks. Bordeleau tallied twice in the first period Saturday, including a power-play marker to open the scoring. The 22-year-old has six points over nine contests in March, and he's maintained a steady middle-six role with power-play time. Bordeleau was sent to AHL San Jose on Friday, per Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News. Bordeleau was sent down in order to make him eligible for the AHL playoffs. The 22-year-old scored a goal in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Islanders. He's played in seven games for the Sharks this year, logging two goals and one assist. The 22-year-old Bordeleau ended up playing top-six minutes after Anthony Duclair was traded to the Lightning before the game.
