  • Sharks' Magnus Chrona: Returned to AHL

Per Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News, Chrona was reassigned to AHL San Jose on Saturday.

Chrona was recalled Wednesday and made his first NHL start Thursday versus the Oilers. The 23-year-old goaltender gave up four goals on 12 shots before he was pulled, but he did not get a lot of support from his teammates as he didn't give up a bad goal. Mackenzie Blackwood was day-to-day with an illness and is likely ready to return to action with Kaapo Kahkonen as his backup.

  • Sharks' Magnus Chrona: Struggles in first start

Chrona allowed four goals on 12 shots in Thursday's 5-0 loss to the Oilers.

Chrona wasn't great, but he drew a tough assignment for his first NHL start. He's allowed eight goals on 29 shots over two appearances this season, and it's clear he's not NHL ready, especially behind a poor team. He'll likely head back to AHL San Jose once Mackenzie Blackwood (illness) is cleared to return.

  • Sharks' Magnus Chrona: Gets first NHL start Thursday

Chrona will be between the home pipes versus Edmonton on Thursday, Max Miller of The Hockey News reports.

Chrona will make his first career NHL start as Kaapo Kahkonen started Wednesday and Mackenzie Blackwood is out of action with an illness. Chrona gave up four goals on 17 shots in relief of Blackwood versus Pittsburgh on Nov. 4. He has spent most of the season in the AHL, where he's gone 3-6-2 with a 3.35 GAA and a .900 save percentage. Chrona will not have an easy matchup versus Connor McDavid and the Oilers, who are seventh in NHL scoring, averaging 3.43 goals per game.

  • Sharks' Magnus Chrona: Recalled from minors

Chrona was elevated from AHL San Jose on Wednesday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Chrona's promotion comes as Mackenzie Blackwood was reportedly missing from practice, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now. The Sharks haven't provided any official details yet but fantasy players shouldn't be expecting to see Chrona between the pipes against the Kings on Wednesday regardless of Blackwood's status.
