An incredibly strong linebacker group and a veteran pass rush that includes returning Panther Julius Peppers highlight the Carolina DST. The squad wasn't stifling last year, giving up an average of 25.1 points per game, but it did come through with a ton of sacks (47, second-best in the NFL), interceptions (17, tied for fourth-best) and forced fumbles (18, tied for third-best). The Panthers also scored three defensive touchdowns. Losing coordinator Sean McDermott to the Bills will definitely hurt the game planning, but coach Ron Rivera isn't about to let his defense become a weak point. This is a solid DST you can find available with your second-to-last pick on Draft Day.
