Myers went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
The 28-year-old outfielder has had a strong camp, batting .407 (11-for-27) with two homers and two steals, and Sunday's long ball came off New York's Opening Day starter Jose Quintana. Myers still isn't guaranteed a spot on the Marlins' bench, as the team has an overload of utility players like Jon Berti, Nick Gordon and Vidal Brujan who have more position flexibility, but he might be the team's best defensive option in center field among the candidates for bench jobs. Working against Myers winning a spot on the initial 26-man roster is that he has minor-league options remaining, while Gordon and Brujan do not.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Returns to minors
Myers was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Myers has a .644 OPS across 70 plate appearances in his first look in the big leagues this season, but he has just eight at-bats in September and will now head back to Triple-A. Jorge Soler (oblique) was activated from the injured list in a corresponding move.

Myers went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's loss to the Brewers.
Recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, the 27-year-old got the start in center field and batted eighth with Jazz Chisholm unavailable while dealing with what's thought to be a minor knee issue. Myers took advantage of the opportunity, swiping his first career base in the majors in the seventh inning as the Marlins tried to erase a 3-2 deficit. Chisholm could be back in the lineup as soon as Friday, but if he's not ready to return, Myers might get the nod again against right-hander Bryce Elder and Atlanta.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Recalled from Triple-A
The Marlins recalled Myers from Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday.
Myers showed a bit of promise during his last stint with the Marlins in July and will give them some much-needed outfield depth as Jorge Soler (oblique) heads to the 10-day injured list. Myers, 27, boasts a .316/.408/.500 batting line with 15 homers and 20 steals in 95 games this summer between Double-A and Triple-A.

Myers now has five multi-hit games through his first nine big-league contests. Overall, he's slashing a robust .406/.424/.563with a homer, eight RBI and six runs scored through 33 plate appearances. While his current pace isn't sustainable, the 27-year-old Myers did bat .335 with 13 home runs and 16 stolen bases between Double-A and Triple-A this season. If he continues to see regular playing time, the rookie outfielder could provide some fantasy value.

Myers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Sunday's win over the Phillies.
In his sixth career big-league game, Myers slashed a knuckle curve from Aaron Nola down the right-field line and just over the fence for his first career homer. The 27-year-old has gone an impressive 9-for-22 (.409) since his promotion, and if Myers keeps producing after the All-Star break, he could well stick around even after Jazz Chisholm (oblique) gets healthy.

Marlins' Dane Myers: Called up Monday
Myers was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
As expected, Myers will join the Marlins in Miami ahead of their four-game series with the Cardinals. The 27-year-old has produced an impressive .440 average with six homers, 21 RBI, 16 runs scored and two stolen bases over 75 at-bats in 20 games with Jacksonville since being promoted from Double-A Pensacola earlier in the season. Although he's not in the starting lineup Monday versus the Cardinals, he seems likely to make his major-league debut in the coming days. Myers will replace Jazz Chisholm (oblique) on the 26-man active roster after Chisholm was placed on the 10-day injured list.

Marlins' Dane Myers: On cusp of call-up
The Marlins plan to promote Myers from Triple-A Jacksonville ahead of Monday's game against the Cardinals, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.
A 27-year-old who began his professional career in 2017 as a pitcher, Myers converted to the outfield in 2021 before the Marlins poached him from the Tigers in the minor-league Rule 5 draft this past winter. Myers has been one of the most productive hitters in the organization while splitting time between Jacksonville and Double-A Pensacola this season, compiling a .335/.423/.533 slash line while slugging 13 home runs and going 16-for-17 on stolen-base attempts. The righty-hitting Myers could serve as a short-side platoon player at first base or in the outfield while he's up with Miami.
