Korkmaz totaled 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and three steals over 22 minutes during Thursday's 114-99 victory over Toronto. Korkmaz reportedly requested to be included in the James Harden trade, but Philadelphia wanted to retain the sharpshooter. Korkmaz played just 9.5 minutes per game last year, his fewest since his rookie campaign, and he didn't see any playing time during the first two games of this season. However, he saw his first extended action Thursday and showed what he's capable of when given a chance. With the Harden saga in the rearview mirror, the 76ers may opt to give Korkmaz more minutes moving forward, but he could quickly fall back down the depth chart when Kenyon Martin, Marcus Morris and Nicolas Batum (personal) get acclimated with Philadelphia's system.... 76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Expected to play Friday
Korkmaz (hamstring) is expected to play in Friday's preseason game against the Hawks, Gina Mizell of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Korkmaz is slated to make his 2023-24 preseason debut after missing the start of training camp due to a hamstring issue. The sharpshooter has handled a modest depth role in Philadelphia for six straight years and should garner a similar role this season.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Practices Wednesday
Korkmaz (hamstring) participated in Wednesday's practice session, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports. Korkmaz has yet to play in the preseason, but it was encouraging to see him practice Wednesday. He was able to participate in live drills but remains day-to-day ahead of Friday's preseason finale against Atlanta.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Ruled out Monday
Korkmaz (hamstring) won't play in Monday's preseason game against Brooklyn, Tim Bontemps of ESPN reports. Korkmaz has yet to play in any preseason games while he recovers from a hamstring strain. The 76ers are viewing Korkmaz as day-to-day, and his final chance to play in the preseason will come Friday against the Hawks.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Unlikely to play Monday
Forkmaz (leg) returned to practice Sunday, but he's unlikely to play in Monday's preseason matchup versus Brooklyn, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports. Forkmaz has yet to make his preseason debut, but it appears he's inching closer to a return. Following Monday's contest, the 76ers have only one exhibition remaining -- Oct. 20 versus Atlanta -- before they open the 2023-24 regular season against the Bucks on Oct. 26.... See More ... 76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Hopeful for Monday's exhibition
The 76ers hope Korkmaz (leg) can return to practice Sunday with the expectation he will be available for Monday's preseason matchup with the Nets, Austin Krell of USA Today reports. Given Monday's game is just an exhibition contest, Korkmaz's leg injury does not seem too serious. He is looking to return from a two-game absence. When healthy, the veteran is projected to provide depth on the wing for Philadelphia.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Absent from practice
Korkmaz (leg) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports. Korkmaz has missed Philadelphia's last two preseason contests due to a knee injury. Despite his absence from practice, he is expected to suit up for Monday's preseason matchup with Brooklyn.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Won't play Wednesday
Forkmaz (leg) won't play Wednesday against the Celtics, but he is expected to suit up Monday for a preseason game in Brooklyn, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Korkmaz will miss back-to-back preseason games to open the season, but he should be back to full strength next week. The sharpshooter is competing with Kelly Oubre, Danny Green, Danuel House and De'Anthony Melton for wing minutes in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Battling leg injury
Korkmaz (leg) is ruled out for Sunday's preseason game against the Celtics due to a leg strain, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Korkmaz (rest) is out for Sunday's preseason game against the Celtics, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. 76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Makes rare appearance Friday
Korkmaz closed Friday's 121-82 win over Charlotte with zero points (0-2 FG) across seven minutes. Korkmaz saw playing time for the third time in the past 18 games, sliding into the rotation with his team in complete control. Despite a proven ability to hit the long ball, Korkmaz doesn't play enough to warrant any real fantasy attention, even in the deepest leagues.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Left off injury report
Korkmaz (personal) isn't on the injury report for Thursday's game versus Memphis. Korkmaz missed Philadelphia's final two games before the All-Star break due to a personal matter. He wasn't initially listed on the injury report ahead of either of those contests, so his status still remains unclear. Either way, he's fallen out of the rotation of late, so his availability shouldn't have any impact on the rotation moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Ruled out Wednesday
Korkmaz (personal) is listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers. Korkmaz will miss his second straight game while he tends to a personal matter, but he hasn't been included in the 76ers' rotation of late anyway, so his absence won't affect how head coach Doc Rivers distributes the minutes among his wing players.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Not listed on injury report
Korkmaz (personal) isn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday's game against Cleveland. Korkmaz wasn't listed on the injury report before missing Monday's win over Houston due to personal reasons, so a similar situation could happen again Wednesday. However, for now, it appears like the sharpshooter will be available, though he's fallen out of the rotation of late and shouldn't garner a significant role even if he suits up.... See More ... 76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Not with team
Korkmaz (personal) isn't with the team for Monday's matchup against the Rockets, Austin Krell of USA Today reports. Korkmaz wasn't listed on the injury report, but he isn't with the team ahead of tipoff and will miss at least one contest due to personal reasons. He hasn't been a regular part of the 76ers' rotation since mid-December, so his absence shouldn't impact head coach Doc Rivers' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Not listed on injury report
Korkmaz (shoulder) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Nuggets. Korkmaz missed Wednesday's game due to a sore right shoulder, but he's been left off the injury report for Saturday, suggesting the sharpshooting reserve will be available. However, before his absence, Korkmaz had appeared in only one of the 76ers' previous five games, so his availability shouldn't impact Philadelphia's game plan.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Out with shoulder injury
Korkmaz has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nets due to a sore right shoulder. Korkmaz has appeared in only one of the 76ers' previous five games, so his absence shouldn't affect Philadelphia's game plan Wednesday. The severity of the reserve wing's shoulder issue remains unclear, but his next chance to suit up will come Saturday against Denver.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Available Wednesday
Korkmaz (illness) is available for Wednesday's matchup against Detroit, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Before his absence, the sharpshooter posted 5.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 15.7 minutes across his previous 11 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Expected to play Wednesday
Philadelphia coach Doc Rivers said Korkmaz (illness) "should go" but will see how he feels after warmups for Wednesday's matchup with the Pistons, Justin Grasso of SI.com reports. Korkmaz is still listed as questionable Wednesday after missing the previous two games with a non-COVID illness. If the 25-year-old forward is unavailable against Detroit, his next chance to play will be Friday's game contest versus the Clippers.... See More ... See Less -
76ers' Furkan Korkmaz: Listed questionable Wednesday
Korkmaz (illness) is considered questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Pistons. Korkmaz missed Monday's game while feeling under the weather, and it's unclear if he'll be feeling healthy enough to give it a go Wednesday. If available, Korkmaz should slot back in for a small bench role for the Sixers.... See More ... See Less
