  • Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Posts 13 points from bench

Hawkins totaled 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt) and five rebounds in 25 minutes during Monday's 114-112 loss to the Jazz. Hawkins went back to the bench to make room for Zion Williamson, but with Hawkins putting up 25 points in Saturday's start, the team may be missing out on a valuable opportunity. Dyson Daniels isn't getting it done at the point, and although Hawkins played off-guard in college, the team would do well to give the first-round pick a crack at point guard before CJ McCollum (chest) returns. An eventual lineup of McCollum, Hawkins, Ingram and Williamson could be the future setup, so consider stashing Hawkins on your bench if he's available.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Not starting Monday

Hawkins is not in the starting lineup to face the Jazz on Monday, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Nothing surprising here, as Hawkins will move back to the bench so Zion Williamson can start at his regular power forward spot. Hawkins is averaging 11.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game off the bench this season.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Goes off for 25 points Saturday

Hawkins chipped in 25 points (8-17 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal across 40 minutes during Saturday's 105-100 loss to the Jazz. During the second night of a back-to-back set, Hawkins moved into the starting lineup with Zion Williamson resting. The move obviously did wonders for Hawkins' confidence, as he scored 25 points, the most he has delivered in almost two weeks. Although his contributions have scaled back a little, he remains a must-roster player in most formats as long as points and threes are high on your list of priorities.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Back in bench role

Hawkins isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Kings. Hawkins will retreat to the bench with Zion Williamson returning to the starting five. Hawkins has logged 33 and 26 minutes in his last two contests as a reserve, so he could be in store for a significant workload, especially with CJ McCollum (chest) remaining sidelined.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Starting Saturday

Hawkins will move into the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Minnesota, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports. With Zion Williamson resting, Hawkins will rejoin the starters after coming off the bench for New Orleans' two prior contests. Hawkins has averaged 14.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 34.1 minutes per game across seven starts this season.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Brilliant as McCollum's fill-in

Hawkins totaled 31 points (10-19 FG, 7-14 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Monday's 134-116 loss to Denver. There were several potential suitors for CJ McCollum's (lung) production, but Hawkins drew the start and made the most of his opportunity. His team-high scoring total makes him an excellent streaming option, and he could be even more valuable if McCollum's timetable is similar to his previous lung injury, which kept him out of action for six weeks.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Doubles minutes in win

Hawkins ended with nine points (3-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes during Saturday's 96-87 win over New York. Hawkins, who the Pelicans drafted with the 14th pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, was able to see extended playing time thanks to the team's large lead. Eight of his 18 minutes came in the fourth quarter. He managed to shoot 50 percent from three on the evening and helped the team keep their large lead despite the Knicks' best efforts.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Drains five threes against Hawks

Hawkins scored a team-high 17 points (5-14 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 2-3 Ft) while adding two rebounds and an assist in 23 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 110-105 preseason loss to the Hawks. The UConn product flashed the long-range shooting that made the Pelicans select him with the 14th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Hawkins could have trouble carving out a big role in the New Orleans backcourt as a rookie with CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram and Jose Alvarado (ankle) all set for significant action, but if he keeps delivering as a second-unit scoring threat, he'll earn consistent minutes.

  • Pelicans' Jordan Hawkins: Struggles from field

Hawkins produced seven points (1-12 FG, 1-6 3PT, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two steals in 28 minutes of Tuesday's 82-73 Summer League victory over the Suns. Through three Summer League appearances, Hawkins has shot a combined 5-of-22 from three-point range. Hawkins was a career 37.6 percent shooter at Connecticut, so he's likely due for some improvement soon.
