Magic's Anthony Black: Nabs 14 boards
Black registered eight points (3-10 FG, 0-2 3PT, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks in 34 minutes of Wednesday's 82-80 Summer League loss to the Knicks.
Though Black struggled from the field, he came through in crunch time, tipping in Jett Howard's missed three-pointer at the buzzer to push the contest into overtime. He was a dominant force on the glass, finishing with a team-high 14 rebounds while also swatting a pair of shots. Though Black has struggled with efficiency, his ability to contribute as a rebounder and defender will help him contribute for the Magic early on.

Black tallied eight points (3-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-6 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in 27 minutes during Monday's 108-85 Summer League loss to Indiana.

Magic's Anthony Black: Shows out in summer opener
Black recorded 17 points (7-10 FG, 1-2 3PT, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, five assists and three steals across 28 minutes of Saturday's 89-78 Summer League loss to Detroit.
Black looked extremely comfortable in his first taste of NBA action, getting to the basket consistently and utilizing his length to score over taller defenders. The 6-foot-7 guard also showcased his court vision, dishing out a team-high five assists while being a positive contributor on the glass. Though the performance was largely a success, Black did cough up seven turnovers, which is something he'll look to improve upon in Orlando's next contest, which will come Monday against Indiana.

Magic's Anthony Black: Taken by Orlando at No. 6
Black was selected by the Magic with the sixth overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Black competed alongside stellar freshman teammates during his lone collegiate season at Arkansas but quickly developed into a lottery prospect, averaging 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.1 steals in 34.3 minutes per game. The 19-year-old has developed quickly between high school and college over the past few years and is a solid playmaker in the pick-and-roll in addition to being a good finisher at the rim. Black will have an opportunity to slot in alongside several other young talents in Orlando and figures to have an immediate impact at the NBA level, though his shooting remains a significant question mark.
