Sharpe will return to a reserve role in Saturday's Game 1 tilt against the 76ers. The Nets rested most of their usual starters in their regular-season finale, which resulted in Sharpe getting a rare spot start. He is now set to return to his usual role of providing depth in the team's frontcourt.... See More ... See Less

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Starting at center
Sharpe will start Sunday's game against the 76ers. With the Nets resting several regulars, Sharpe will move into the lineup at center in place of Nic Claxton (rest). In two previous starts this season, Sharpe averaged 14.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 30.0 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Good to go Friday
Sharpe (ankle) is available for Friday's game versus the Hawks, Lucas Kaplan of NetsDaily reports. Sharpe has been upgraded from probable to available Friday with an ankle injury. He will likely continue to receive backup center minutes behind Nic Claxton.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Likely to play against Atlanta
Sharpe is probable for Friday's game versus the Hawks due to a left ankle sprain, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Sharpe is expected to play Friday despite dealing with an ankle injury. The second-year big man is averaging 9.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 14.0 minutes across his last five outings.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Near double-double off bench
Sharpe accumulated nine points (3-4 FG, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 14 minutes during Saturday's 129-100 victory over Miami. Sharpe needed just 14 minutes to nearly post his second double-double over his past three matchups. The second-year big man has carved out a role as the primary backup center behind Nic Claxton and has appeared in four straight games, posting 10.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 1.0 assists and 0.8 assists in 14.0 minutes during that stretch.... Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Leading scorer in double-double
Sharpe logged 20 points (8-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two blocks and two steals across 20 minutes during Tuesday's 115-109 loss to the Cavaliers. Sharpe lifted the Nets off the bench while posting team-high marks in scoring, rebounds and steals en route to a double-double performance. Sharpe, who tied a season-high mark in scoring, has tallied a double-double twice this season after doing so for the first time Dec. 10 against Indiana.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Fills stat sheet in loss
Sharpe totaled 11 points (5-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 30 minutes during Thursday's 118-113 loss to Milwaukee. With a handful of Brooklyn's regulars sidelined for the first half of a back-to-back set and head coach Jacque Vaughn opting to bench his starters following a slow start Thursday, the former UNC star saw action for the first time since March 1. Sharpe struggled from the field and needed 13 shots to score 11 points, but he still posted a decent stat line with contributions across the five major categories. He's not receiving consistent minutes, meaning this performance was likely an outlier rather than a sign of things to come.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Slides back to bench
Sharpe will not start Saturday's game against the 76ers, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Sharpe saw a spot start Thursday and produced eight points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes but will return to the bench with Nic Claxton (hamstring) active. Although Sharpe currently sits behind Claxton and Ben Simmons on the depth chart, Brooklyn could make an effort to give him more minutes for development purposes.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Starting Thursday
Sharpe will join the first unit for Thursday's game against the Bulls, Alec Sturm of NetsDaily.com reports. Surprisingly, Sharpe will receive the starting nod at center despite Ben Simmons being available for the contest. It will be the 22-year-old's second start of the season, and although he posted a double-double in 32 minutes in his first start, it's unlikely Sharpe replicates that performance Thursday.... Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Available Thursday
Sharpe (foot) is available Thursday against Chicago, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Sharpe dealt with a sore right foot ahead of Thursday's matchup but will be able to suit up against the Bulls. He's averaged 4.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game over his last six appearances, but his role could fluctuate slightly after T.J. Warren was traded to the Suns on Thursday.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Questionable against Chicago
Sharpe is questionable for Thursday's game versus the Bulls due to right foot soreness. It's unclear when Sharpe suffered his injury, but it puts his status Thursday into question. If he's unable to suit up against Chicago, his next chance will be Saturday's matchup with Philadelphia.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Plays well once again in 27 minutes
Sharpe amassed nine points (4-7 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds and one steal in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 139-96 loss to the Celtics. This comes on the heels of a breakout performance Monday when he scored eight points with 14 rebounds against the Lakers. Sharpe's 27-minute workload Wednesday night was his second-highest mark of the season, although garbage time was a factor with the Nets getting run out of the building. Sharpe has captured the attention of fantasy managers with his strong play, but it's worth noting that Ben Simmons (knee) could be back as soon as Saturday versus the Wizards.... See More ... Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Fares well as second-unit center
Sharpe finished with eight points (4-8 FG), 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 21 minutes in Monday's 121-104 win over the Lakers. The absence of Ben Simmons (knee) enabled Sharpe to step in as the second-unit center behind Nic Claxton for the second game in a row, and the second-year big man was able to come through with a fantasy-friendly line. Considering that he played just 14 minutes in a seven-point win over the Knicks two days prior, Sharpe won't be guaranteed a 20-minute role moving forward, even if Simmons misses additional time. With Claxton playing well this season and likely to take on 30 minutes in most games so long as he avoids foul trouble, Sharpe merely remains a name to monitor rather than someone that warrants a pickup in 12-team leagues or shallower.... Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Good to go
Sharpe (back) is available for Saturday's game against the Knicks, Chris Milholen of NetsDaily.com reports. Sharpe is returning from a two-game absence due to lower back soreness. It remains to be seen if he will crack the rotation upon his return.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Questionable against New York
Sharpe (back) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Knicks. Sharpe has missed the last two games due to lower back soreness, but he'll be in the mix to return against New York. However, his status shouldn't impact the Nets' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Ruled out Wednesday
Sharpe (back) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Sharpe is dealing with lower back soreness and won't be able to play after being a late addition to the injury report. It's unclear whether he'll be available Thursday against Detroit, but his absence shouldn't impact the Nets' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Recalled to NBA
The Nets recalled Sharpe to the NBA club from the G League on Sunday, Chris Milholen of NetsDaily.com reports. Sharpe and Kessler Edwards have both been recalled and will be available for Sunday's matchup against Oklahoma City. Across 20 NBA appearances (one start), Sharpe is averaging 3.9 points and 3.2 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Assigned to G League
The Nets assigned Sharpe to the G League's Long Island Nets on Friday, Christian Arnold of the Associated Press reports. Sharpe didn't appear in Thursday's loss to Boston and will head back to the G League on Friday. Across 13 appearances with Long Island, the 21-year-old is averaging 16.8 points in 28.8 minutes while shooting 60.4 percent from the field.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Recalled to NBA
The Nets recalled Sharpe from the Long Island Nets of the G League on Wednesday, Chris Milholen of NetsDaily.com reports. Sharpe has split time between the G League and NBA this season. He played 21 minutes in his last appearance for Brooklyn, so he may see playing time in Thursday's game versus the Celtics.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Monster day on boards
Sharpe tallied 16 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 FT), 18 rebounds, four assists and one block in 34 minutes Wednesday against Raptors 905. Sharpe was equally dominant on both ends of the court, as he collected nine rebounds on the offensive and defensive glass. He also registered a block for his third straight contest. Sharpe has now collected a double-double in each of his first three appearances of the regular season.... See More ... See Less
