  • Jaguars' Gregory Junior: Returns to Jacksonville

The Jaguars re-signed Junior on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Junior was an exclusive rights free agent this offseason after playing in nine games last year. The cornerback mainly saw action on special teams and will look to carve out a depth role again in 2024.

  • Jaguars' Josh Allen: Agrees to massive five-year deal

Allen and the Jaguars agreed to terms Wednesday on a five-year, $150 million contract, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports. Jacksonville is about a month removed from placing the franchise tag on Allen, who tallied a franchise-record 17.5 sacks last season, but the team's stated goal has always been to negotiate a long-term contract with the two-time Pro Bowler. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Allen's new deal includes $88 million guaranteed, while the franchise tag would've had him play out the 2024 season on a salary of just over $24 million. Allen looked convincing as one of the league's elite pass-rushers in 2024, in which he also logged 66 tackles (43 solo), one interception and two forced fumbles across 17 regular-season appearances. He'll come off the board as one of the top players at his position in IDP formats in 2024 drafts.

The Panthers signed Chaisson to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. After spending the first four years of his career with the Jaguars, the 2020 first-round pick is now headed to Carolina. Chaisson appeared in 26 games (no starts) over the past two seasons, recording 23 total tackles, including 3.0 sacks, while also defending one pass. It's safe to say that the 24-year-old underwhelmed in Jacksonville, but he could very well have the chance to compete for a starting job in the Panthers' linebacker corps this offseason.

  • Jaguars' Arik Armstead: Landing in Jacksonville

The Jaguars are slated to sign Armstead (knee), Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Armstead, whose deal is reportedly for three years and $51 million, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, immediately becomes a linchpin of Jacksonville's defensive front, fixing a huge need for the team along the interior of the defensive line. Jacksonville and Thomas (forearm) agreed to terms Thursday on a contract extension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The fifth-year veteran is working his way from a season-ending forearm fracture, but that doesn't seem likely to significantly impact his offseason work. In addition to being a standout on special teams, Thomas is capable of contributing as a backup at safety.

  • Jaguars' Josh Allen: Officially gets franchise tag

The Jaguars have officially placed their franchise tag on Allen ahead of Tuesday's 4:00 p.m. ET deadline. Allen receiving the franchise tag has been long expected, and is now official. The 2019 first-round pick is coming off a true breakout campaign, with a career-high 17.5 sacks in 2023, to go with 66 tackles (43 solo), one interception and two forced fumbles. He and Jacksonville still have until mid-July to negotiate a long-term deal, but if Allen believes he can replicate similar production in the 2024 season, he may be comfortable betting on himself with the hopes of hitting the open market next offseason as a true star at one of the NFL's most sought-after positions.

  • Jaguars' Josh Allen: To be tagged

The Jaguars are expected to place the franchise tag on Allen by Tuesday's 4:00 p.m. ET deadline, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Allen will play out the 2024 season on a one-year, guaranteed $24 million contract if the Jaguars indeed place the franchise tag on him, and a long-term deal isn't agreed to by mid-July. The 2019 first-round pick broke out in a big way with 66 tackles (43 solo), 17.5 sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles in 17 regular-season games last season, and he would immediately become one of the top available free agents on the market were Jacksonville allow him to walk.

  • Jaguars' Rayshawn Jenkins: Being let go by Jags

Jacksonville plans to release Jenkins, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Jenkins' release will save the Jaguars roughly $5.1 million against the cap, while the team's other announced cut of veteran cornerback Darious Williams will save the team roughly $10 million. In each of his last two seasons Jenkins has played all 17 games and turned in a triple-digit tackling effort, so he should garner real interest as a free agent. Antonio Johnson, a 2023 fifth-round pick, will be a candidate to replace Jenkins in the starting lineup.

  • Jaguars' Darious Williams: Being released by Jacksonville

The Jaguars are set to release Williams, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Williams' release will save Jacksonville roughly $10 million in cap space, per Michael DiRocco of ESPN. Cutting him only leaves the team with $500,000 in dead cap, making the move an obvious one. The soon-to-be 31-year-old played extremely well in 2023, with 19 pass breakups and four interceptions across 17 regular-season games, so he should be an intriguing name on the free agent market.

  • Folorunso Fatukasi: Gets let go

Fatukasi was released by Jacksonville on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Fatukasi received birthday wishes from the Jaguars' official Twitter account earlier in the day. However, the now 29-year-old was then cut from the team just a few hours later. The move will save Jacksonville $3.5 million in cap space, according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com. The UConn product finished his 2023 campaign with 24 combined tackles and a pass defended.

  • Jaguars' Travon Walker: Records 10.0 sacks

Walker closed the 2023 regular season with 52 tackles (27 solo), 10.0 sacks and one fumble recovery in 17 games. The 2022 first overall pick had a quiet rookie campaign with just 3.5 sacks in 15 contests, but he took a major step forward as a sophomore this past season, finishing second on the team in sacks. Walker could be poised for a full breakout in 2024, though the status of top pass rusher Josh Allen -- who could leave Jacksonville as a free agent -- could affect how much attention Walker receives from opposing offenses.

  • Jaguars' Darious Williams: Totals 19 pass breakups

Williams finished the 2023 regular season with 53 tackles (44 solo), 19 pass deflections, four interceptions and two forced fumbles in 17 games. Williams didn't have any interceptions in his first year with Jacksonville during 2022, but he picked off four passes in 2023 and also had the exact same tackle total. The 30-year-old is entering the final season of his three-year, $30 million contract and has likely played well enough to finish out the deal. However, if Jacksonville is looking for cap savings, Williams could be cut with just $500,000 in dead cap compared to his scheduled cap hit of $10.5 million.

  • Jaguars' Tyson Campbell: Limited to 11 games

Campbell totaled 61 tackles (42 solo), five passes defensed, one interception and one forced fumble in 11 games during the 2023 regular season. Campbell missed nearly a third of the season due to hamstring and quadricep injuries, though he still came close to eclipsing the 70-tackle mark for the third straight campaign. The 2021 second-round pick is entering the final year of his rookie contract and should have a significant role for Jacksonville's secondary again in 2024.

  • Jaguars' Andre Cisco: Closes with 62 tackles
