The Dolphins re-signed Bethel on Friday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Bethel, who's heading into his 13th NFL campaign, is now set to suit up for the Dolphins for a second consecutive season following Friday's agreement. The 32-year-old is in line to continue serving as one of Miami's top special-teams contributors in 2023.

Dolphins' Andrew Van Ginkel: Returning to Miami
Rotowire
The Dolphins are re-signing Van Ginkel on Tuesday, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports.
Van Ginkel has played every regular-season game for Miami in three straight seasons, while handling roles on both defense and special teams. It makes sense for the Dolphins to prioritize retaining such a reliable, versatile veteran, though for fantasy purposes he doesn't carry much value outside of deep IDP formats.

Steelers' Elandon Roberts: Signing with Steelers
Rotowire
Pittsburgh is signing Roberts to a two-year contract Thursday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Roberts racked up career numbers with the Dolphins last season, surpassing the century mark in terms of tackles while notching 4.5 sacks in 17 regular-season games. Heading into his age-29 season, Roberts seems like an ideal fit to shore up a key role in Pittsburgh's linebacker corps.

Byron Jones: Officially let go Wednesday
Rotowire
The Dolphins released Jones (Achilles) on Wednesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Jones was officially cut with a failed physical and will be designated as a post-June 1 transaction, thus saving the Dolphins $13.6 million in cap space. The 29-year-old originally joined Miami on a massive five-year, $82.5 million deal ahead of the 2020 season, though he missed the entirety of the 2022 campaign while recovering from left Achilles surgery. He'll finish his time in Miami with just 14 passes defended and two interceptions across 30 regular-season appearances. Jones will now have an opportunity to revive his career elsewhere heading into his age-30 season.

Dolphins' Duke Riley: Remains in Miami
Rotowire
Riley signed a two-year deal contract with the Dolphins on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Riley appeared in all 17 games for the Dolphins last season. The 28-year-old linebacker recorded 45 tackles (25 solo) and one sack in 2022 while playing in a rotational role. Riley will likely see a similar workload during the 2023 campaign, barring injuries.

Dolphins' Bradley Chubb: Contract restructured
Rotowire
Chubb agreed Thursday to restructure his contract with the Dolphins, Mike Masala of USA Today reports.
The Dolphins will save $14.66 million against the cap by restructuring Chubb's contract, likely by converting base salary amounts into signing bonuses. The star edge rusher could find himself in prime position to have his talents maximized in 2023, with new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio having taken the reins.

Dolphins' Elijah Campbell: Sticking around in Miami
Rotowire
The Dolphins tendered Campbell a contract Tuesday, Mike Masala of Dolphins Wire reports.
Campbell is now in line to remain in Miami for a third consecutive year. The 27-year-old safety has primarily operated as a special-teams contributor during his tenure with the Dolphins, but he reached new career highs in defensive snaps played (92) and tackles (14) in 2022.

Byron Jones: Set to be released
Rotowire
The Dolphins informed Jones (Achilles) on Tuesday that he'll be released March 15, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Per Schefter, the move will be designated as a post-June 1 cut and will save Miami $13.6 million. Jones missed the entire 2022 campaign due to left Achilles' surgery and was still unable to run or jump as of late February, but he's not planning on retiring despite an uphill battle in his recovery. Jones will have a chance to test free agency this summer, but he might have to settle for a one-year prove-it deal.
Head coach Mike McDaniel said that Ogbah has been "recovering soundly" from his torn triceps, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Ogbah, who tore his triceps back in November, is anticipated to be ready to go for the start of OTAs in May. It was previously reported that the 29-year-old could've played if the Dolphins had advanced past the wild-card round, per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, so Ogbah should be either at or near full strength to begin the offseason.
Jones (Achilles) said via his official Twitter account Saturday that he "can't run or jump" after having missed the entire 2022 season due to left Achilles' surgery.
Jones is not retiring, as ESPN reports, but it appears he's still facing an uphill battle to return to the playing field. The 2018 Pro Bowler hasn't appeared in NFL action since undergoing Achilles' surgery last March to address a lingering injury, though it was initially reported the Dolphins expected him to be ready for training camp. This offseason, Miami can save $13.6 million in salary cap space by trading or releasing Jones after June 1.

Dolphins' Christian Wilkins: Makes strides in Year 4
Rotowire
Wilkins racked up a career-high 98 tackles (59 solo) in addition to 3.5 sacks, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery across 17 games in 2022.
The Dolphins have already picked up Wilkins' fifth-year option for 2023, but new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio could have plenty of motivation to re-sign the ascending 2019 first-round pick. Wilkins developed into one of the NFL's best interior run defenders during the 2022 campaign and has proven himself as one of Miami's core players. It wouldn't be surprising to see the team open extension negotiations with Wilkins this offseason and work to lock up the home-grown talent for multiple seasons.

Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Career numbers in contract year
Rotowire
Roberts racked up 102 tackles (68 solo) and 4.5 sacks across 17 regular-season games with the Dolphins in 2022.
Roberts eclipsed 100 tackles for the first time in his career while also notching a new high in terms of sacks while on a one-year deal with Miami in 2022, so it's conceivable that new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio could want him back for 2023. The 28-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the Dolphins and would bring some veteran consistency to a relatively young linebacker corps if he's re-signed.

Porter Gustin: Time with Miami ends
Rotowire
Gustin's (undisclosed) practice-squad contract with the Dolphins expired Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Gustin first joined the Dolphins in June and didn't appear in a game for the team before landing on the practice squad injured list Oct. 13. While the nature of this issue was never disclosed, the 25-year-old linebacker went on to finish the campaign on this list. Gustin tallied nine tackles while appearing in six games for Cleveland in 2021, and he'll likely seek to carve out a reserve role elsewhere heading into the 2023 season.

Dolphins' Nik Needham: Recovering well from Achilles tear
Rotowire
Needham (Achilles) is expected to get out of his walking boot in a month, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Needham's recovery from the torn Achilles he suffered in October is going well as he enters the offseason as a free agent. The 25-year-old appeared in six games this season with the Dolphins, recording 21 tackles and two pass deflections. Needham wants to return to Miami in 2023, but only time will tell where he ends up next season.

Dolphins' Trill Williams: Expected to be full speed by March
Rotowire
Williams (knee) expects to be ready to go for the start of the 2023 campaign, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Williams said Monday that he expects to be full speed by March and back on the field in time for this summer's training camp after missing the 2022 campaign following a torn left ACL he suffered in August. The 23-year-old appeared in one game with the Dolphins in 2021, failing to record a tackle while playing 18 snaps between the special-teams and defensive units.

Dolphins' Emmanuel Ogbah: Would have played moving forward
Rotowire
Ogbah (triceps) was expected to be cleared to play if the Dolphins advanced in the postseason, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
As the Dolphins players cleared out their lockers Monday, Ogbah said that the plan was for him to return from his triceps injury in the AFC divisional round if the the team had beaten Buffalo on Sunday. It appears as if the defensive end should have no issue being ready to go for the start of training camp this summer. Ogbah appeared in nine games in 2022, recording 11 tackles, including one sack.
Campbell is questionable to return to Sunday's matchup against Buffalo due to a knee injury.
Campbell recored one solo tackle before leaving the contest with a knee injury. He played primarily on special teams during training camp, so his potential absence shouldn't have a major impact on Miami's defense.

Dolphins' Eric Rowe: Ready to go Sunday
Rotowire

Rowe was a limited participant in practice throughout the week, but he'll take the field Week 18. His ability to play should strengthen the team's secondary as he starts alongside Jevon Holland at safety.

Dolphins' Xavien Howard: Playing Sunday
Rotowire
Howard (knee) is active Sunday against the Jets.
Howard missed Week 17 against the Patriots, but he'll return to play Week 18. The veteran corner's return should be good news for the Miami secondary, as they work to secure a win over the Jets and a playoff spot.
