Cardinals' Will Hernandez: Agrees to re-sign with Arizona
Hernandez agreed to a two-year, $9 million deal with the Cardinals on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The 2018 second-round pick spent the first four seasons of his career with the Giants before signing a one-year deal with the Cardinals last offseason. When healthy, Hernandez operated as the Cardinals' starting right guard in 2022 and figures to have a similar role in 2023.

Cardinals' Will Hernandez: Returns to active roster
Arizona activated Hernandez (chest) from injured reserve Saturday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Hernandez missed the minimum four games while on IR with a chest injury. He's expected to return to game action Sunday against the Broncos and will presumably reclaim his spot as the team's starting left guard, which would send Max Garcia to the bench.

Cardinals' Will Hernandez: Close to returning
The Cardinals designated Hernandez (chest) to return from injured reserve Wednesday.
Hernandez has missed the last four games while on IR with a chest injury, though he's now been designated to return at the earliest possible opportunity. This opens a 21-day window for him to practice before he has to be restored to the active roster, or else the 27-yer-old will revert back to the injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Hernandez's first chance to suit up again at right guard will come Sunday versus Denver.

Cardinals' Will Hernandez: Will miss multiple weeks
Coach Kilff Kingsbury said Wednesday that Hernandez (pectoral) "will be out a couple of weeks," Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Kingsbury already ruled out the possibility that Hernandez would play Sunday at the Rams, but his pectoral injury is apparently one that will require multiple weeks to recover from. Rookie sixth-rounder Lecitus Smith will likely fill in at right guard for Hernandez until he returns.

Cardinals' Will Hernandez: Won't play at Rams
Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that Hernandez (pectoral) will miss at least Sunday's game at the Rams as he recovers from a pectoral injury he suffered in Week 9, Dana Scott of AZcentral.com reports.
There's still no concrete timetable for Hernandez's return, but it would seem he's in jeopardy of missing multiple games based on Kingsbury's comments. Until Hernandez can play again, rookie sixth-rounder Lecitus Smith is a likely candidate to fill in at right guard.

Cardinals' Will Hernandez: Exits with injury
Hernandez (chest) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic reports.
Hernandez was forced out in the first quarter with a chest injury, though the specific nature and severity of this issue are unclear. The 27-year-old has started every game since signing with the Cardinals this offseason, and his absence has left Lecitus Smith to step in at right guard Sunday.
