49ers' Ross Dwelley: Returning to San Francisco
Dwelley re-signed with the 49ers on Monday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Dwelley will remain in San Francisco, where he's spent the entirety of his career since signing there as an undrafted free agent in 2018. The 28-year-old played in 12 games last season and recorded three catches for 105 yards and a touchdown. Dwelley should provide solid depth behind George Kittle as well as adding value on special teams next season.

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Serves backup role in 2022
Dwelley had three receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown across 12 active regular-season games in 2022.
Dwelley was able to produce a couple of big plays while George Kittle recovered from an injury to start the season, but he ultimately was limited to special teams for the majority of the year. The 27-year-old will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but he is unlikely to land in a situation that warrants fantasy consideration after posting forgettable totals through the first five years of his pro career.

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Remains out
Dwelley (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Cardinals, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Dwelley has only suited up once in the team's last six games, including Week 18. He'll work to earn a chance to play once the playoffs begin for the 49ers.

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Healthy scratch again
Dwelley (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Buccaneers, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Dwelley will be a healthy scratch for the second consecutive week. The 27-year-old seems to be firmly behind Charlie Woerner and Tyler Kroft on the team's positional depth chart as backups to George Kittle, which will keep him sidelined again.

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Out Sunday
Dwelley (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Dolphins. Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Dwelley will sit for the first time this season, while the 49ers will dress George Kittle, Charlie Woerner and Tyler Kroft at tight end. He'll work to earn a chance to suit up Week 14 against the Buccaneers.

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Just six snaps Week 12
Dwelley went without a target while playing six of the 49ers' 70 snaps on offense in Sunday's 13-0 win over the Saints.
Dwelley served as the 49ers' No. 3 tight end Sunday, playing six snaps, while starter George Kittle played 68 and top backup Charlie Woerner played 17. Woerner is regarded as a superior blocker, so expect him to continue to play ahead of Dwelley while Kittle is healthy.

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Part of big splash play
Dwelley caught his lone target for 56 yards in Sunday's 31-14 win over the Rams.
Dwelley -- normally a backup tight end -- played most of his 19 offensive snaps at fullback in place of Kyle Juszczyk (thumb). The 27-year-old saw only one target, but he made it count by running a crisp wheel route out of the backfield for a huge gain. With the 49ers entering a bye week, there's a good chance Juszczyk returns before the team's next game against the Chargers on Sunday, Nov. 13. Dwelley currently isn't a roster-worthy fantasy option.

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Back in full Friday
Dwelley (ribs) practiced in full Friday, Lindsey Pallares of the team's official site reports.
Dwelley sat out practice last week with a ribs injury, but he ultimately played through the issue in Monday's 24-9 win over the Rams. Although the 235-pounder failed to practice again Thursday, his ability to participate in full Friday indicates he's no longer in danger of missing Sunday's contest against the Panthers. With George Kittle reclaiming the No. 1 tight end spot for San Francisco, Dwelley has seen a combined nine offensive snaps over the 49ers' last two games.

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Ready to go Monday
Dwelley (ribs) will play Monday against the Rams, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Dwelley didn't practice last week until Saturday, but he's feeling healthy enough to suit up against the Rams. The 27-year-old only played four offensive snaps last week and never saw a target in George Kittle's return. He's a dart throw at best for fantasy purposes, even in DFS single-game contests, as long as Kittle remains healthy.

49ers' Ross Dwelley: Questionable for Week 4
Dwelley (ribs) practiced in limited fashion Saturday and is questionable for Monday's game against the Rams, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Dwelley's limited session was his first practice participation of the week. Since the return of George Kittle, Dwelley has been relegated nearly exclusively to special teams duties.
