Saints LB Dannell Ellerbe sidelined from practice Thursday
Saints linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (hip) didn't practice Thursday.
After tallying just one tackle in his season debut in Week 4, Ellerbe has been a machine over the last three games, accruing 27 tackles (26 solo), one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. Expect the Saints to touch on his Week 8 availability in advance of the weekend.

Saints DE Cameron Jordan records two sacks
Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan made two tackles, both of which were sacks of quarterback Andrew Luck, in the Sunday win against the Colts.
Jordan recorded three sacks last week, and he hit Luck four total times in Week 7, narrowly missing notching another hat trick. Not all offensive lines will be as porous as those in Week 6 and 7 opponents Atlanta and Indianapolis, but his recent string of success is proof that the front office made the right choice in giving Jordan a big extension this offseason.

Saints S Jairus Byrd ready to roll Sunday
Saints free safety Jairus Byrd (knee) is active for Sunday game against the Colts.
After missing the first three games while recovering from knee surgery, Byrd has been back on the field for three straight contests without much complication. Even so, he's recorded just 10 stops over those three games, which will keep him off the Individual Defensive Player radar until he draws closer to providing double-digit tackle counts on a weekly basis.

Saints CB Keenan Lewis won't play Sunday
Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday in Indianapolis.
Lewis seemingly returned from his early-September surgery too soon, as he barely saw the field in his three appearances. Lewis might eventually have a starting job if he can get actually get healthy.
