Packers' Eric Wilson: Signs with Green Bay
The Packers signed Wilson off of New Orleans' practice squad Tuesday.
The 28-year-old linebacker recorded 43 tackles over seven games with Philadelphia during the first half of the 2021 season, which prorates to 104 tackles over a full 17-game season. However, he'll likely just play in a depth role in Green Bay as long as De'Vondre Campbell and Quay Walker remain healthy.

The Texans placed Wilson on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday after he tested positive for the virus.
Wilson has played primarily on special teams since joining the Texans. According to Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston, Wilson is the Texans' only unvaccinated player, which means he'll be subject to an automatic 10-day quarantine since he tested positive. He won't be available for Sunday's game against the Chargers as a result.

Texans' Eric Wilson: Claimed by Texans
Wilson was claimed off waivers by Houston on Thursday.
The linebacker was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday after appearing in seven contests for the team this year. He made 43 tackles and intercepted a pass in those games. Wilson will have a chance to play sooner rather than later, as Christian Kirksey (thumb) and Kevin Pierre-Louis (illness) both carry questionable tags heading into Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins.

Eric Wilson: Waived by Philadelphia
Wilson was waived by the Eagles on Wednesday.
Wilson was a coach's decision inactive for the Eagles' Week 8 contest against the Lions. Coach Nick Sirianni appears to be leaning on the team's younger players for defense for the remainder of the season. Expect Davion Taylor to see an increased role for the Eagles' defense Sunday against the Chargers.

Eagles' Eric Wilson: Left off game-day roster
Wilson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Lions, Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal reports.
Wilson wasn't listed on the injury report all week, so his absence from the game-day roster implies the linebacker has been benched for Week 8. Davion Taylor will likely draw the start and play the majority of snaps in Wilson's absence.

Eagles' Eric Wilson: Huge day in loss
Wilson tallied 10 tackles (six solo), a pass defensed and an interception in Sunday's 42-30 loss to Kansas City.
It was Wilson's second double-digit tackle effort on the year, bringing him to 34 on the season. He played 49 snaps (73 percent), which was just seven shy of equaling Alex Singleton for the team lead at linebacker. The Cincinnati product is currently on pace to surpass his career-high of 122 tackles from a year ago with the Vikings.
