Colts' Jaylon Jones: Moves into starting lineup
Jones started at cornerback opposite JuJu Brents along with nickelback Kenny Moore in Sunday's win over Tennessee. He had three total tackles.
Jones moved into a starting role after the season-ending Achilles injury to Dallis Flowers. He played on 39 of the defense's 61 snaps, as Kenny Moore remains on the field in formations with just two cornerbacks.

Colts' Jaylon Jones: Could be set for significant role
Jones had one total tackle while playing six snaps on defense in Sunday's overtime loss to the Rams. He's a candidate to take over a starting cornerback role with Dallis Flowers' season-ending Achilles injury, the Indianapolis Star reports.
Jones had played just one snap on defense in Week 1 before Sunday. The 2023 seventh-round draft pick will compete with Darrell Baker to fill the void caused by Flowers' absence. Baker was a healthy scratch the last two weeks after struggling in his first two games.

Colts' Jaylon Jones: Going to Indianapolis
The Colts selected Jones in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 221st overall.
Jones (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) played corner on a tough Texas A&M pass defense but might lack the athletic traits to stay at corner in the NFL. Jones has poor reach and that could be a problem when paired with his 4.57-second 40. A move to safety or a focus on the slot could be the remedy, because the Colts can't let Jones get caught in sideline races.
