Grzelcyk scored a goal and an assist in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Red Wings.
He got the Bruins on the board late in the second period, but they were already staring at a 4-0 deficit at that point. It's the 29-year-old blueliner's first multi-point performance since Jan. 16 and he has only four goals and 23 points on the season, but with Hampus Lindholm (foot) sidelined Sunday, Grzelcyk found himself working the point on Boston's first power-play unit. Lindholm is expected to return Tuesday, but if he misses additional time, Grzelcyk would have some short-term fantasy appeal.

Bruins' Matt Grzelcyk: Produces helper in win
Grzelcyk logged an assist, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
Grzelcyk has shown a little more talent on offense lately with two goals, eight assists and a plus-17 rating over his last 15 contests. The 29-year-old defenseman is up to 19 points, a plus-31 rating, 64 shots on net, 62 blocked shots and 22 PIM through 47 outings overall. He'll continue to log top-four minutes, and he should be on the fantasy radar if he can retain his newfound scoring touch following the All-Star break.

Grzelcyk set up David Pastrnak's hat-trick-clinching goal in the second period as well as a Charlie Coyle insurance marker in the third. This was Grzelcyk's first multi-point effort of the season -- he's often played more of a defensive role in the top four. The blueliner has a goal, 11 assists, 52 shots on net, 47 blocked shots and a plus-21 rating through 36 outings.

Grzelcyk (shoulder) is making strides in his recovery and is "slightly" ahead of schedule according to coach Jim Montgomery, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald reports Monday.
Grzelcyk was originally expected to be ready in early November, so he may be ready to play in late October given his updated recovery timeline.
