He was obviously in discomfort after a taking a teeth-jarring hit from Jake Muzzin in the neutral zone. Johnson glanced down at a bouncing puck and Muzzin's left shoulder hit him square in the sternum. Johnson's head was not hit directly, but it did whiplash side-to-side.
