Penguins' Samuel Poulin: Out of action with AHL club
Poulin (lower body) is considered week-to-week for AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Taylor Haase of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
Poulin was in contention for a call-up prior to his injury. The 22-year-old forward will now miss some time for the Baby Pens, though he could be an option for Pittsburgh once he's healthy if the team still needs help on the fourth line.

Penguins' Samuel Poulin: Returning to hockey
Poulin will rejoin AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton after stepping away from hockey to focus on his mental health he announced Wednesday.
Poulin has played in three NHL games this season in which he recorded one assist, three hits and two shots while averaging 9:58 of ice time. In the minors, the 22-year-old winger recorded four goals in his 13 contests and should be in the mix for a spot on the 23-man roster heading into the 2023-24 campaign.

Penguins' Samuel Poulin: Taking leave of absence
Poulin will take a leave of absence from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Poulin will return to his home in Quebec and continue to workout there. Penguins GM Ron Hextall said that Pittsburgh supports "Sam's decision to take time away from hockey to focus on himself." Poulin has an assist in three games with Pittsburgh this season. The 21-year-old was assigned to the AHL on Nov. 11.

Penguins' Samuel Poulin: Sent back to AHL affiliate
Poulin was loaned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday, according to Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Poulin has picked up an assist through three games with the big club, but he's also sat as a healthy scratch six times since being recalled from the AHL on Oct. 23. He had one goal in four AHL appearances before his promotion.

Penguins' Samuel Poulin: Gets first point in debut
Poulin notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Flames.
Poulin made his NHL debut Tuesday with Jason Zucker (undisclosed) exiting the lineup. The 21-year-old Poulin only had to wait a little over one period to get his first point, helping out on Evgeni Malkin's tally in the middle frame. Poulin was selected 21st overall in the 2019 Draft, and he's logged 38 points in 76 career AHL games. As long as the Penguins have ailing forwards, there should be a spot for him in the lineup.

Poulin was promoted from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.
Poulin has been limited to just one goal through four AHL contests this season. Teddy Blueger and Jake Guentzel are both dealing with upper-body issues, so Poulin could make his NHL debut during the Penguins' upcoming road trip.
