Iorio has not returned to practice since he was injured Sunday during Game 1 in New York. The 21-year-old blueliner was pointless in six NHL games during the regular season.

Capitals' Rasmus Sandin: Could play Friday
Sandin (upper body) will be a game-time decision Friday versus the Rangers, according to Tom Gulitti of NHL.com.
Sandin has missed the last seven games, and finally was in a regular jersey at morning practice Friday. The blueliner had three goals and 23 points in 68 regular-season appearances. Look for Dylan McIlrath to come out of the lineup, should Sandin play in Game 3.

Capitals' Nick Jensen: Game-time call Friday
Jensen (upper body) will be a game-time decision ahead of Game 3 against the Rangers on Friday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Jensen was finally able to ditch the non-contact jersey at Friday's game-day skate, which would certainly seem to indicate he'll be back sooner rather than later. Still, coach Spencer Carbery wouldn't confirm that the blueliner will play in Game 3. Even if he does suit up, fantasy players probably shouldn't be expecting much offensively out of Jensen considering he went pointless in seven straight before getting hurt.

Capitals' Sonny Milano: Suitting up Friday
Milano (undisclosed) will be in action against the Rangers for Game 3 on Friday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Milano has scored just two goals in his last 13 outings while registering a mere 10 shots. Unless the 27-year-old winger starts shooting the puck more, he is unlikely to find the back of the net with any consistency. Nicolas Aube-Kubel figures to find himself watching from the press box with Milano available to play Friday.

Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Facing Rangers
Lindgren was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate, per Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post, and is expected to be between the home pipes Friday for Game 3 versus the Rangers.
Lindgren allowed four goals in each of his two playoff games versus the Rangers. The two losses snapped a three-game winning streak Lindgren had at the end of the regular season -- giving up only three goals on 78 shots. The Rangers have a 2-0 series lead, ahead of Friday's tilt.

Capitals' Sonny Milano: In doubt Friday
Milano (undisclosed) missed Thursday's morning skate, raising doubts about his availability versus the Rangers for Game 3 on Friday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Milano is pointless in the postseason through two games while chipping in just one shot and a minus-2 rating over that span. Despite playing in only 49 regular-season contests, the 27-year-old winger still set a new personal best with 15 goals, though he missed the 30-point threshold for the first time in the last three years.

Capitals' Tom Wilson: Two-point effort in Game 2 loss
Wilson produced a goal and an assist, both on the power play, while adding four hits and two shots on net during a 4-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 2 on Tuesday.
The veteran winger has been one of the few players making a consistent impact for the Capitals as they face the prospect of having to come back from a two-game deficit against the team that had the best record in the NHL during the regular season. Wilson has a goal and three points with six hits and 12 PIM through the first two games of the playoffs.

Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Stumbles in Game 2
Lindgren made 24 saves Tuesday in a 4-3 loss to the Rangers during Game 2 of the Capitals' first-round series.
New York scored twice with the man advantage and once on a K'Andre Miller shorthanded tally, but Lindgren did blank the Rangers in the third period to at least give his club an opportunity for a comeback. The 30-year-old netminder has given up eight goals on 58 shots to begin Washington's postseason run, and while the poor results so far may not be completely Lindgren's fault, coach Spencer Carbury may consider turning to Darcy Kuemper between the pipes when the series shifts back to D.C. for Game 3 on Friday.

Pacioretty notched an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 2 on Tuesday.
Pacioretty remains mired in a seven-game goal drought, having registered just one shot in each of his last five outings. If the veteran winger doesn't start shooting the puck more, his goal production will likely continue to be minimal. With Pacioretty still slumping, he's unlikely to push Aliaksei Protas for a top-six role.

McMichael scored a goal on six shots in Tuesday's 4-3 Game 2 defeat to the Rangers.
McMichael has managed just two goals in his last 13 games but had recorded just 14 shots in the 12 games before Tuesday's tilt. The 23-year-old center also saw himself restored to a power-play role in Game 2 after having been dropped from the second unit in the prior five outings.

Iorio (upper body) will not be an option for Game 2 against the Rangers on Tuesday, Jean-Francois Chaumont of NHL.com reports.
Iorio will join a growing list of blue-line absences that also includes Rasmus Sandin (upper body) and Nick Jensen (upper body). As a result, Lucas Johansen is poised to make his NHL playoffs debut. In his seven NHL games this season, the 21-year-old Iorio had no points, six shots, three hits and three blocks while averaging a mere 8:41 of ice time.

Jensen (upper body) will not be in the lineup against the Rangers for Game 2 on Tuesday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Jensen was still sporting a non-contact jersey at Tuesday's game-day skate, per Emily Kaplan of ESPN, so he should probably be considered questionable at best heading into Game 3 on Friday. It will be Jensen's third straight match on the shelf due to his upper-body issue. Haman-Aktell was recalled from the AHL on Tuesday.
Haman-Aktell has only played six games with the big club this year, recording one assist to go along with 11 hits and five blocked shots. The 25-year-old has also registered two goals and nine assists in 55 games with Hershey in 2023-24. The Capitals are dealing with several injuries on the blue line, so Haman-Aktell could slot onto the third pairing with Trevor van Riemsdyk for Tuesday's Game 3 against the Rangers.
