Ray was carted off the field during practice Saturday due to a heat-related issue, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Ray is expected to be fine according to the team, Kaye added. The 25-year-old joined Carolina in July after he was let go by the Patriots in May. He'll now focus on getting healthy in order to return to the practice field.
