Saints' Paulson Adebo: Ruled out Sunday
Adebo (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's contest against the Packers.
Adebo sustained a hamstring injury during Friday's practice. His absence is a huge blow for a Saints secondary that has given up just 160 passing yards per game so far this season. Isaac Yiadom and Alontae Taylor are candidates to see an increased workload Sunday opposite starting cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

Saints' Foster Moreau: Not playing against Green Bay
Moreau (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers, Erin Summers of ESPN.com reports.
This isn't exactly surprising, as Moreau was listed as doubtful following Friday's injury report. The former Raiders tight end has just two catches to his name with the Saints, but he's played 68 total offensive snaps through two weeks. Expect Juwan Johnson to see significant playing time, with Jimmy Graham and Taysom Hill also mixing in on occasion.

Saints' Jamaal Williams: Shifts to injured reserve
Williams, who was already ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Packers due to a hamstring injury, was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Williams reportedly "tweaked" his hamstring in Monday's win over the Panthers and failed to practice all week, but the prevailing sentiment was that the veteran would be in store for just a one-game absence. However, after moving to injured reserve, Williams will now be sidelined for at least four games, with the Saints' Oct. 19 contest versus Jacksonville representing his earliest return date. By that point, Alvin Kamara will be far past his three-game suspension to begin the season, and rookie Kendre Miller (hamstring) -- who is making his NFL debut Sunday -- could make a case to push Williams for work on rushing downs. With Kamara serving the final game of his suspension Sunday, expect Tony Jones, Miller and quarterback Taysom Hill to serve as the Saints' main options on the ground.

Saints' Carl Granderson: Inks extension
The Saints agreed to a four-year extension with Granderson on Saturday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Granderson has already registered 2.5 sacks in two games this season and is well on his way to shattering his career-high 5.5 sacks registered last season. He joined the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and has steadily seen more snaps on defense since then. Granderson will continue to be a force for the Saints' defensive front alongside Cameron Jordan, Nathan Shepherd and Khalen Saunders.

Saints' Ugo Amadi: Questionable for Sunday at Packers
Amadi (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Green Bay, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Amadi was able to practice in a limited capacity both Thursday and Friday, so perhaps he's closer to the probable end of questionable than a true 50/50 to play. Either way, he's not likely to see much work outside of the special teams unit in Week 3.

Saints' Paulson Adebo: Questionable with hamstring injury
Adebo sustained a hamstring injury at practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Green Bay, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
In what could be a serious blow to New Orleans' secondary, Adebo's status for Week 3 is now up in the air. If he is forced to sit out this weekend, Isaac Yiadom could see an increased workload against his former team.

Saints' Kendre Miller: Pro debut on tap Sunday
Miller will have a role out of the Saints backfield Sunday in Green Bay with Jamaal Williams (hamstring) ruled out for the game, Stacey Dales of NFL Network reports.
A 2023 third-round pick, Miller's pro debut has been delayed by a hamstring injury that has followed him since at least Aug. 31, causing him to miss the first two contests of the season. With a trio of full practices under his belt this week, though, he's been cleared for game action. Miller and Tony Jones (12-34-2 rushing line Week 2) should serve as the focal points at running back for New Orleans on Sunday, with Kirk Merritt and/or Jordan Mims candidates to be elevated from the practice squad. Alvin Kamara's three-game suspension ends after this weekend, so Miller's workload Week 4 and beyond may depend on Williams' recovery.

Saints' Tony Jones: Likely to have role in Week 3
Jones will have a role out of the Saints backfield Sunday at Green Bay with Jamaal Williams (hamstring) ruled out for the contest, Stacey Dales of NFL Network reports.
Jones stepped in Monday in Carolina when Williams departed in the second quarter with a hamstring injury, turning 12 carries into 34 yards and two touchdowns while failing to gather in either of his targets. While 2.8 YPC is uninspiring, Jones' 5-foot-11, 224-pound stature lends itself to short-yardage and goal-line work, which yielded the aforementioned scores from two yards out on both occasions. Jones will be vying for RB reps with rookie third-round pick Kendre Miller and potentially practice-squad members Kirk Merritt and/or Jordan Mims on Sunday, but the elevated workload likely is a short-term deal considering Alvin Kamara's three-game suspension ends after this weekend.

Saints' Foster Moreau: Doubtful for Week 3
Moreau (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game in Green Bay, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Moreau practiced in a limited capacity Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice. If Moreau sits out Sunday's game as expected, Jimmy Graham could see extended action behind Juwan Johnson, with more snaps at tight end possibly going to the versatile Taysom Hill as well.

Saints' Jamaal Williams: Out this week
Williams (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Green Bay.
Williams as a September lineup option didn't work out how drafters imagined, with 52 total yards Week 1 followed by an early exit due to the hamstring injury Week 2. He'll now miss one game and possibly more, before returning to a Saints offense that will have Alvin Kamara back from suspension. Fantasy utility at some point this year is still a distinct possibility, though it may now rely on the possibility of Kamara missing time due to an injury rather than the guarantee of his three-game suspension. For Week 3, the Saints have Tony Jones and Kendre Miller on hand for RB snaps, in addition to the ever-present options of giving Taysom Hill more carries and/or Derek Carr more pass attempts.

Saints' Jamaal Williams: Absent again Friday
Williams (hamstring) wasn't spotted during the media-access portion of Friday's practice, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Williams thus is poised to go down as a non-participant for a third consecutive session due to the hamstring issue that he picked up Monday at Carolina, and the Saints may even clarify his status ahead of Sunday's game in Green Bay upon the release of Friday's injury report. If Williams is unable to go this weekend, some combination of Tony Jones, rookie Kendre Miller and practice-squad members Kirk Merritt and Jordan Mims will handle running back reps for New Orleans, with Taysom Hill also on hand for carries.

Saints' Kendre Miller: Logs full practice Thursday
Miller (hamstring) practiced in full Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
For a second consecutive day, Miller was listed as a full participant on the Saints' injury report, only on this occasion the team actually held a session Thursday. The rookie third-round pick appears to have paved the way for his pro debut Sunday at Green Bay, which could be fruitful for him with Jamaal Williams (hamstring) trending toward an absence. As for the rest of New Orleans' backfield, Alvin Kamara has one game to go in his suspension and Eno Benjamin (Achilles) is on IR, leaving Miller, Tony Jones (12-34-2 rushing line Week 2) and practice-squad members Kirk Merritt and Jordan Mims as the team's options at the position in Week 3.
