  • Cowboys' Dalton Schultz: Another limited practice

Schultz (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Schultz took a seat Monday at the Giants after spraining his PCL in Week 2. Through two sessions this week, he's been limited while donning a brace on his right knee, per Todd Archer of ESPN.com, but executive vice president Stephen Jones relayed to Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Thursday that the Cowboys believe the tight end should be available Sunday versus the Commanders. In the end, though, Friday's injury report will be telling for Schultz's odds to do so.

  • Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Remains full at practice

Gallup (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Dating back to last Thursday, Gallup has handled every practice rep, but his season debut has been delayed as he completes the later stages of his recovery from the torn left ACL that he sustained back on Jan. 2. There's hope he'll feel comfortable enough to return to action Sunday against the Commanders, but if he enters the weekend as questionable, a game-time decision likely is in store for Gallup. If he's available to the Cowboys offense, he's expected to work with quarterback Cooper Rush instead of Dak Prescott, who remains in recovery mode from a fractured right thumb.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Officially doesn't practice

Prescott (thumb) didn't practice Thursday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Prescott showed up on the field Thursday without a brace on his right thumb, instead going through the motions with a tape job, according to Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News. During the portion of the session open to the media, Prescott handled some snaps and made some light throws, per Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, but the activity wasn't enough for the Cowboys to list him as a limited participant. At this point, Prescott seems hard-pressed to be available for Sunday's game against the Commanders, but he told Lorenzo Reyes of USA Today on Monday that he's keying in on a return Week 5 at the Rams, even though Ian Rapoport of NFL Network suggested Thursday that Week 6 in Philadelphia may be the more realistic target for his return. As long as Prescott is sidelined, Cooper Rush will direct Dallas' offense.

  • Cowboys' Luke Gifford: Full participant Wednesday

Gifford (hamstring) was a full participant in Dallas' walkthrough practice Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Gifford did not suit up for Monday's win over the Giants after being added to the team's injury report with a hamstring issue Sunday. The fourth-year linebacker recorded 11 tackles as a core special teamer for the Cowboys last year, and he has yet to play a defensive snap this season.

  • Cowboys' Jayron Kearse: Logs limited practice Wednesday

Kearse (knee) was listed as a limited participant during Dallas' walkthrough practice Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Kearse has been sidelined since suffering a sprained MCL in his left knee during Week 1, so his ability to participate in Wednesday's limited practice is an encouraging sign for his potential return in Week 4. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy did not give any definitive statement on the safety's game day availability, though he did say that the team would "give [Kearse] the full complement" during practice Thursday. Kearse recorded 101 tackles, 10 passes defended and two interceptions last season, and he should reprise this productive role when healthy.

  • Cowboys' DeMarcus Lawrence: Limited in walkthrough

Lawrence (foot) was listed as a limited participant on the Cowboys' injury report Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Lawrence temporarily exited Monday's win over the Giants to be examined for a foot injury, though he later returned and logged six tackles with three sacks. However, the 30-year-old's foot continued to ail him during Dallas' limited practice Wednesday. While this could just be a precautionary move given the team's relatively quick turnaround following Monday's game, it will be worth monitoring Lawrence's injury status during full practices Thursday and Friday.

  • Cowboys' Simi Fehoko: Logs full participation

Fehoko (shoulder) was listed as a full participant during Dallas' walkthrough practice Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Fehoko recorded one reception (one target) for 12 yards over two offensive snaps before exiting Monday's win over the Giants with a shoulder injury. While the Cowboys did not hold a full practice Wednesday, the second-year wideout seems to have quickly overcome this issue. Fehoko has played 23 offensive snaps through the first three games of the season, though his usage could diminish even further if Michael Gallup, who is nearing a return from his torn ACL, is available to play in Week 4.

  • Cowboys' Dalton Schultz: Stays limited Wednesday

Schultz (knee) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Schultz was unable to play in Monday's win over the Giants due to a sprained PCL in his right knee that he sustained Week 2 against the Bengals. He managed one limited session last Saturday and maintained that level of activity to kick off the current week. Schultz will have a pair of sessions to get back to full before the Cowboys potentially make a call on his availability for Sunday's contest against the Commanders.

  • Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Logs another full practice

Gallup (knee) practiced fully Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

After ramping up to and maintaining full practice participation last week, Gallup had a chance to return this past Monday in New York. Ultimately, the Cowboys exercised caution with the fifth-year wide receiver and held him out for the win over the Giants, instead turning focus to getting him ready for Sunday's game against the Commanders. Head coach Mike McCarthy told Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site Tuesday that he was "hopeful" Gallup will be available Week 4, and Gallup himself said Wednesday that he's "fine" and "ready to go," per Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. If he does enough to make his season debut this weekend, Gallup likely will be on the receiving end of passes from Cooper Rush, with Dak Prescott still in the midst of his recovery from a broken right thumb.

  • Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Feels ready to go physically

Gallup (knee) said Wednesday he feels physically "fine," Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Gallup said he felt capable of playing in Monday's win over the Giants, but noted that he's in need of a few more padded practices before being mentally prepared to make his return to the field. Hill relays that Gallup is eying his season debut Sunday versus the Commanders, but the situation will still warrant monitoring. Meanwhile, Cooper Rush looks on track to draw another start versus Washington, but top quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb) could be back in action as soon as Week 5.

  • Cowboys' Jourdan Lewis: Records seven tackles

Lewis made sevens solo tackles and one pass breakup during Monday's 23-16 win over the Giants.

Lewis tallied his most productive day of the season during Monday night's divisional victory. The sixth-year pro handled 79 percent of defensive snaps and warrants emergency flex considerations in deep IDP formats heading into a Week 4 matchup against Washington.
