Pippen totaled 28 points (12-22 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, six assists and four steals over 30 minutes during Friday's 123-120 loss to the Lakers. Pippen came into the NBA on a two-way deal with the Lakers in 2022 before joining the Grizzlies on a two-way contract this January. Friday's performance against his former squad included a career-best scoring total along with four steals, which tied his career-high mark. Pippen has blossomed over his past five contests, averaging 20.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.2 steals.... See More ... See Less

Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Nabs two steals vs. Cavaliers
Pippen chipped in 18 points (7-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 110-98 loss to the Cavaliers. Pippen continues to be disruptive on the defensive end of the floor, as he recorded two steals for the fourth straight game. He also extended his double-digit scoring streak to four, as the injury-riddled Grizzlies fielded just eight players Wednesday. Over his last 10 games, Pippen has averaged 13.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.2 steals over 26.2 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Productive in loss
Pippen logged 14 points (4-15 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, one block and four steals over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 102-87 loss to San Antonio. Pippen had a very productive night on the stat sheet, but it was at the expense of his shooting percentages. Memphis is dressing only eight players these days due to injuries, so Pippen will likely see heavy usage every time he's active.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Hands out seven dimes Friday
Pippen notched 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three rebounds, seven assists, one block and four steals in 29 minutes during Friday's 108-90 win over Detroit. Pippen was efficient from the field and scored in double digits for the fourth time over his last six starts. Pippen is seeing extended minutes for a Memphis team that is in full rebuild mode for the rest of the campaign, and he's taken advantage of the opportunity by averaging 10.2 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game over those six aforementioned starts.... Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Draws start Monday
Pippen is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Denver. Pippen starts alongside Desmond Bane (back) in the Grizzlies' backcourt. Pippen is averaging 10.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 steals in 27.0 minutes across five prior starts this season -- although none have come alongside Bane to this point.... See More ... Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Impresses off bench in return
Pippen (shin) amassed 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 4-8 FT), four steals, three rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes in Friday's 99-97 win over the Spurs. Pippen returned Friday after missing the previous three games with a left bruised shin. With Desmond Bane (back), Luke Kennard (personal), Marcus Smart (finger), Derrick Rose (groin) and Ja Morant (shoulder) all sidelined, the Grizzlies were short on guard depth, so Pippen and fellow two-way player Jordan Goodwin ended up splitting the minutes at point guard. Morant is out for the season while the returns of Smart and Rose don't appear to be imminent, but Bane and/or Kennard could be back for Monday's game in Denver. If that's the case, one or both of Goodwin and Pippen could find themselves out of the rotation, as both players are nearing their allotment of active games for the season. The Grizzlies will have to be judicious with their usage of Goodwin and Pippen for the remainder of the campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Questionable for Friday
Pippen (shin) is questionable for Friday's game against the Spurs. Pippen has missed the last three games due to a left shin contusion, but it's encouraging to see him listed as questionable on the Grizzlies' initial injury report rather than being immediately ruled out. If he's available Friday, he could see increased playing time since Desmond Bane (back) is doubtful.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Won't play versus Warriors
Pippen (shin) won't play against the Warriors on Wednesday. Pippen will be sidelined for a third straight game due to a left shin contusion. The second-year player logged 27 minutes in a starting role March 13 versus the Hornets in his return from an extended absence due to a bulging disc in his lower back, but Pippen could be in store for a drop in playing time once he gets healthy, as Desmond Bane is now back in action for the Grizzlies after a recent two-month absence due to an ankle sprain.... Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Out again Monday
Pippen (lower leg) is out for Monday's game against the Kings. Pippen will miss a second consecutive game due to left shin soreness. The severity of his injury is not clear at this point, but if he can return to the lineup in the near future, Pippen could carve out a significant role due to the team's laundry list of injuries.... Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Dealing with shin soreness
Pippen is questionable for Saturday's game against the Thunder due to left shin soreness. Pippen recently missed a 12-game stretch due to a lumbar disc bulge, but he returned to action Wednesday and posted nine points, 10 assists and two steals in 27 minutes as a starter during a 110-98 loss to the Hornets. It's encouraging to see the youngster is past the back issue, but the severity of his new injury remains unclear.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Expected to play Wednesday
Coach Taylor Jenkings said Pippen (back) should be available for Wednesday's game versus the Hornets, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports. Pippen is officially listed as questionable Wednesday due to a lower back injury. The 23-year-old guard is expected to snap his 12-game absence streak against Charlotte, but he may face some limitations.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Ruled out for Tuesday
Pippen (back) will not play Tuesday against the Wizards. Pippen is still recovering from a bulging disc in his lower back, and he's said to be nearing a return. However, a specific timetable has yet to be announced, and the Grizzlies could err on the side of caution during the second half of a back-to-back set Wednesday versus the Hornets.... See More ... Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Listed as doubtful
Pippen (back) has ascended to doubtful in advance of Tuesday's game against the Wizards. Pippen was set to be re-evaluated three weeks from Feb. 16 while dealing with a bulging disc in his lower back, although last Friday's re-evaluation date came without any formal update on the 23-year-old. His elevation to being listed as doubtful means that a return could be on the horizon, although disc issues can be pain-tolerance injuries, which makes estimating a specific return date difficult.... Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Another strong showing
Pippen registered 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal across 29 minutes during Thursday's 118-110 loss to the Bulls. Pippen has been trusted into a prominent role in recent games due to the team's lack of depth, as evidenced by the fact he's logged 20 or more minutes in five of his last six appearances, including making three starts in that span. Pippen is averaging 12.5 points, 4.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game across that six-game stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Starting against Chicago
Pippen will be in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Bulls. Pippen will be one of nine available players for Memphis on Thursday, so he should get all the run he can handle. He's capable of putting up decent stat lines when given the minutes, so he could be someone to consider as a potential streamer.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Makes most of opportunity
Pippen totaled 19 points (6-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal across 27 minutes during Sunday's 131-91 loss to the Celtics. With Memphis shorthanded again, Pippen got another opportunity to showcase his skill set. The two-way point guard has played at least 20 minutes four times this season and scored in double figures in each of those contests, averaging 14.0 points (51.4 percent from the field), 4.8 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 26.3 minutes per game. While Pippen has proven capable of fantasy-relevant production when given extended playing time, the 23-year-old will likely be relegated to the G League if the Grizzlies get healthier over the next few days.... Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Starting Monday
Pippen is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Kings, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports. Pippen is set for the first NBA start of his career in his fourth appearance of the season with Memphis. The 23-year-old is joined by David Roddy in the starting backcourt for Memphis while the injury-plagued Grizzlies have just eight healthy players for the contest.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Makes season debut Saturday
Pippen ended Saturday's 125-96 loss to the Bulls with three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one assist across five minutes. Pippen played his first minutes for the Grizzlies, fresh off signing a two-year, two-way contract earlier in the week. At this point, the injury-depleted Grizzlies are looking for production wherever they can find it, and Pippen could end up cracking the rotation in the short term as a backup point guard.... Lakers' Scotty Pippen: All-around performance
Pippen totaled 16 points (7-18 FG, 0-4 3PT, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, and seven assists during 30 minutes of Thursday's 123-121 win over Austin. Pippen took on a primary facilitation role Thursday, tying for the team high in assists while also scoring 16 points. In 17 regular-season appearances, Pippen has averaged 21.9 points, 5.6 assists and 3.7 rebounds across 27.7 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Lakers' Scotty Pippen: Struggles from field
Pippen recorded four points (1-7 FG, 0-2 3PT, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, six assists and two steals in 17 minutes of Monday's 135-133 loss to Sioux Falls. Although the Skyforce kept Pippen from his typical scoring output, he was able to pick apart the team as a distributor, tallying six assists in 17 minutes. Although Pippen struggled to score Monday, he can be expected to return to his season average of 22.4 points.... See More ... See Less
