Chargers' Kyle Van Noy: Efficient with new team
Van Noy finished the 2022-23 season with 46 tackles (30 solo), five sacks, an additional three tackles for loss, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries across 17 games.
In his first season with the Chargers, Van Noy finished tied for third on the team in sacks and fourth in total tackles for loss. This marked the fourth season in a row that the 31-year-old recorded five or more sacks. However, Van Noy had his lowest number of tackles since 2016 and registered 30 less tackles than fellow linebacker Kenneth Murray despite slightly outpacing him in playing time.

Chargers' Kyle Van Noy: Inks deal with Chargers
Van Noy signed a one-year contract with the Chargers on Thursday.
Van Noy was let go by the Patriots in early March, but he'll join the Chargers nearly two months later. The 31-year-old appeared in 16 games for New England in 2021 and logged 66 tackles (42 solo), five sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, a touchdown and 10 pass defenses. He'll compete for work alongside Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack (foot) heading into 2022.
