Browns' Jordan Hicks: Set to sign with Cleveland
Hicks and the Browns have agreed to terms on a two-year, $8 million contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The nine-year veteran has recorded more than 100 tackles in five straight seasons. Last year with the Vikings, Hicks finished with 107 tackles, five passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, an interception and a forced fumble.

Hicks totaled 107 tackles (61 solo), a sack, five passes defended, an interception and returned a fumble for a touchdown during the 2023 regular season.
Hicks crossed the century mark in total tackles for the fifth straight season, despite missing four games with a shin injury that involved a stint on injured reserve. The 31-year-old is set to be a free agent this offseason after two seasons in Minnesota.

It was Hicks' lowest tackling output since Week 1 against the Bucs when he had three stops. Still, thanks to Sunday's performance, the 2015 third-round pick out of Texas is up to 100 total tackles on the year, which is the fifth straight season he has reached the century mark in that category.

Hicks had been on injured reserve since Week 10, but it now seems as if he's been able to move past his shin issue. Even though the 31-year-old was activated off IR, he's still listed as questionable for Sunday's affair. If he's unable to suit up, expect Troy Dye to see increased work in Minnesota's linebacker corps.

Hicks (shin) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions.
The 31-year-old linebacker was able to log a full week of practice, but he must be activated off injured reserve in order to play Sunday. According to Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Hicks told reporters that his leg is feeling great, and it's very likely that he'll be able to return to the field at some point this season. If Hicks is unable to suit up in Week 16, expect Troy Dye to serve as the Vikings' top right inside linebacker.

Hicks (shin) was estimated as a full participant in Wednesday's practice walkthrough.
Hicks is still on IR, but he was designated to return Tuesday. The veteran linebacker hasn't played since Week 10, but he said Tuesday that he feels 100 percent healthy and wants to suit up Sunday against Detroit, per Mark Craig of the Star Tribune. That seems to be a possibility, though the Vikings will no doubt want to ensure that Hicks is fully recovered before activating him off IR and opening a spot on the active roster.

Hicks (shin) is hoping to play against the Lions on Sunday, Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Hicks has yet to have his 21-day practice window opened, but head coach Kevin O'Connell stated Monday that it would happen this week, which would likely put Hicks back to practicing with the team Wednesday. Hicks will now officially open his 21-day practice window in which the team can activate him from injured reserve at any point, potentially as soon as Sunday's matchup with the Lions. Once Hicks is designated to return from IR, he'll have his 21-day window to practice with the team opened before he needs to be moved to the active roster. This could lead to him returning as soon as Sunday against the Lions, but the Texas product may need more time than that before he returns to play. His practice status beginning Wednesday, assuming he does have his 21-day window opened, will be worth monitoring to get a better idea of his potential availability for Week 16.
