Kuechly returned to practice as a limited participant Thursday, and then logged a full session Friday. There may be some lingering soreness, but Kuechly still figures to work in his usual every-down role, thus making him a top IDP option.

Klein may replace shelved Shaq Thompson as the starter at strongside linebacker, but the rookie only has a two-down role, which means Klein can be ignored in Individual Defensive Player leagues.

Panthers DT Kawann Short registers two sacks against Seattle
Panthers defensive tackle Kawann Short registered five tackles (three solo), including two sacks, in the Sunday defeat of the Seahawks.
Short took advantage of a porous offensive line to record his first two sacks of the season. Additionally, the third-year lineman posted five tackles for the second straight game, pushing his value up heading into the Week 7 clash against the Eagles.

Panthers LB Luke Kuechly records 14 tackles in return Sunday
Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly registered a game-high 14 tackles (five solo) in his return from injury Sunday against the Seahawks.
Kuechly hadn't played since suffering a concussion in Week 1, but showed no signs of rust while leading the Panthers in tackles and playing every defensive snap. Arguably the best linebacker in the NFL, his performance suggests he's ready to reclaim his elite Individual Defensive Player status and make up for lost production in the weeks to come.

Panthers' A.J. Klein: Expects to play Sunday
Panthers linebacker A.J. Klein (concussion) was again limited in practice Thursday but expects to suit up Sunday at Seattle, per Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer.
Klein fared well at middle linebacker in place of Luke Kuechly, totaling 23 tackles (14 solo) and an interception in three games. After the Week 5 bye, it was revealed that Klein had entered the protocol for head injuries, but the linebacker himself doesn't believe that he had a concussion. Rather, he came down with headaches and some sickness, and the Panthers subsequently exercised caution by putting him in the protocol.

While Kuechly tended to a concussion over the last month, A.J. Klein filled in at middle linebacker, but the replacement is now dealing with a concussion of his own. Initially, the team intended to limit the snaps of Kuechly on Sunday in Seattle. However, if Klein sits out Sunday in Seattle, those plans would likely be nixed.
