Browns' Charley Hughlett: Extends deal with Cleveland
Hughlett agreed Friday with the Browns on a four-year contract extension, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
According to Cabot, Hughlett's deal includes an $865,000 signing bonus, the largest in NFL history that's ever been guaranteed to a long snapper. The 32-year-old Hughlett joined the Browns in December 2014 and is the second-longest tenured player in the organization.

Browns' Charley Hughlett: Leaves COVID list
Hughlett was moved back to the active roster Tuesday.
Hughlett was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Nov. 29, but he has since been able to clear protocols. He should return to his role of long-snapper as soon as Sunday against the Ravens.

The Browns are on a bye this week, and this should allow Hughlett to have enough time to recover before the team's next game against the Ravens on Dec. 12. If that isn't the case, however, the Browns would suffer quite a blow on special teams since Hughlett excels as a long snapper.

Browns' Charley Hughlett: Cleared to return
Hughlett was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Hughlett was held out of practice Wednesday as a precaution after apparent close contact with a player that tested positive. Now officially cleared, he's expected to assume his usual long-snapper role for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

The Browns placed Hughlett (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Hughlett hit the COVID-19 list as a high-risk close contact, as did Jack Conklin and Cody Parkey, so there's a chance he clears all requisite protocols in time to suit up against the Eagles on Sunday.
