Broncos' Justin Simmons: Uncertain for Week 4
Simmons (hip) has drawn a questionable tag for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Simmons practiced in limited fashion four consecutive days to start the week before being a nonparticipant Friday. Thus, he seems to be trending in the wrong direction, but his final status for Week 4 will depend on how he is feeling Sunday morning. Delarrin Turner-Yell and JL Skinner would be candidates to fill in at safety if he cannot go.

Broncos' Justin Simmons: Limited in practice
Simmons (hip) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Simmons is now trending toward playing on Sunday after sitting out last week's blowout loss to Miami. If the 29-year-old is able to play, he should help bolster a Denver secondary that allowed 70 points last week in his absence.

Broncos' Justin Simmons: Logs another DNP
Simmons (hip) did not practice Thursday, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports.
Simmons was unable to practice Wednesday as well, putting the 29-year-old's availability for Sunday's game against the Dolphins in doubt. Considering the importance of the star safety to the Broncos' defense, it's possible he could play without logging a practice this week, but it would still likely increase his chances if he could participate Friday. If he's ultimately unable to play, Delarrin Turner-Yell would likely step into a starting role.

Broncos' Justin Simmons: Records 10 tackles in loss
Simmons recorded 10 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 35-33 loss to the Commanders.
Simmons' 10 tackles led all Broncos defenders Sunday. Through two games, the 29-year-old safety has recorded the second-most tackles on Denver's defense, trailing only Josey Jewell. Simmons will look to continue his solid start to the 2023 campaign when the Broncos visit the Dolphins in Week 3.

Broncos' Justin Simmons: Notches four tackles in Week 1
Simmons recorded four tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Raiders.
Simmons was hindered by a groin injury in mid-August, but he appears to have left that behind him as he played all 55 of Denver's defensive snaps in Week 1. The safety is coming off of a 2022 campaign where he compiled 69 tackles, his lowest since 2017, so he'll look to return to form this season.

Simmons (groin) returned to practice Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Simmons had been out of action for a little over two weeks after tweaking his groin in practice. His return is certainly good news for the Denver secondary, and he'll now have multiple weeks to get ready for the team's Week 1 contest against the Raiders.
