Trace McSorley: Joins Steelers' practice squad
Pittsburgh signed McSorley to its practice squad Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The move comes in the wake of reports Kenny Pickett underwent surgery to address his high ankle sprain Monday. Mitch Trubisky projects to start Thursday versus the Patriots, and Mason Rudolph is also on standby, but McSorley could suit up as an emergency option as soon as this week.

Trace McSorley: Let go by Chicago
McSorley was cut from the Bears' practice squad Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
McSorley was added to Chicago's practice unit in October to operate as an extreme depth option at quarterback while Justin Fields was sidelined with a thumb injury. Now that Fields is back under center, McSorley will look for a new opportunity elsewhere.

Trace McSorley: Joins Chicago's practice squad
The Bears signed McSorley to the practice squad Tuesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
McSorley gives the Bears a third quarterback while Justin Fields recovers from his dislocated thumb suffered in Week 6. Tyson Bagent or Nathan Peterman will start Sunday's game against the Raiders. McSorley appeared in six games for the Cardinals last season, making one start, and completing just 54.2 percent of his throws for 412 yards, zero touchdowns and five interceptions.
