The Panthers re-signed Erving to a one-year contract Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
The 19th overall pick in the 2015 Draft, Erving is now 30 years old and on his fourth team. Next season will mark his third in Carolina. Erving will try to lock down the Panthers' swing tackle job this summer.

He failed to participate in any fashion Friday, which puts his status Sunday in doubt. Erving has served as Carolina's backup right tackle, so his absence would affect the team's depth.

Erving (calf) has been getting third and fourth string reps at practice this week, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports 1340 AM reports.
Erving finished last season on IR but he had started nine games at left tackle last season. The addition of first-round selection Ikem Ekwonu was expected to move Erving down the depth chart, but it's not clear if the injury or his general performance has resulted in the third-string work in camp.
