Chargers' Corey Linsley: Restructures contract
Linsley (illness) restructured his contract with the Chargers on Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
The restructuring of Linsley's contract lowers his base salary from $11.5 million to the minimum for the 2024 season. The veteran has been mulling retirement, so this move creates $10.29 million in cap space if he retires after June 1, and the team could then spread the resulting dead cap hit out over two years.

Chargers' Corey Linsley: Leaning towards retirement
Linsley said Monday that he's "99 percent" sure he'll retire during the offseason, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Linsley was only able to suit up for three games this season due to a heart-related medical issue. He was named first-team All Pro in 2020 and selected for the Pro Bowl in 2021.

Chargers' Corey Linsley: Headed to NFI-R list
The Chargers placed Linsley on the reserve/non-football illness list Saturday, Bridget Condon of NFL Network reports.
Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reported Friday that Linsley was to be placed on injured reserve with a "non-emergent heart-related medical issue," though he is now set to move to the NFI-R list instead. Linsley is still set to miss at least four games and will be eligible to return as early as Week 9 against the Jets on Nov. 6.

Chargers' Corey Linsley: Expected to land on IR
Linsley (illness) is expected to land on injured reserve Saturday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Linsley is dealing with a heart-related medical issue, so the team will obviously exercise caution until everything is resolved. He will be required to miss at least four weeks while on IR, so he is looking at a Week 8 return at the earliest. In his absence, Will Clapp will likely take over at center.

Linsley (illness) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against Las Vegas.
The Chargers will be without their All-Pro center this Sunday, as he didn't practice all week with an illness. In the absence of Linsley, Will Clapp is expected to make his first start of the year against a Raiders defense that ranks bottom-10 in sacks this season.
